Oldest step daughter is like a rake so nothing ever fits her....she's 10 and grows every time we see her. Trousers are a nightmare as she needs the length of 10-11 clothes but not the waist. The best thing we've found for her so far are Asda skinny jeans!! Even things with an adjustable waist are too big normally

My DD is like that - she's 7, but needs 9-10 trousers in most places (just about getting away with 8-9 in Asda but not for much longer) and is naturally thin (like her dad  ) that even the 8-9's and adjustable waist ones are sometimes too big in the waist - I am getting better at temporarily shrinking them though with some stitches here and there ;) DD is currently in 8-9 pants with a tuck in the back of them, her skirt is a 9-10 with 2 big tucks in them but she needed that size for the length
My LO is also a rake, the only thing that makes clothes just about stay on her (non existent) waist is her spinal brace. It comes right down over her hips to restrict her movement so adds about 2 inches to her waist, even then things still fall off her:rolleyes:

My back brace (although mine didn't have that big hole in the side) did that to me as well - I went from a 14ish to a size 20 overnight  Never been less than an 18 (although the occasional larger 16 does fit ;) ) since I left primary school which a child today kindly calculated for me as being 19 years ago. :rotfl::rotfl:I'm sorry now that I told them that I was turning 30 this month as they're calculating how long ago it was since I did all sorts of things like sit my GCSE's :rotfl: Although more and more of them are saying I don't look or act like a 30 year old so I'm happy :D

Woohoo I found my list at last :rotfl::rotfl:

I trotted back in to WW last night, so that I'm ready to go with the weight loss challenge :) Ahem - and boy do I need it LOL I'm sat here eating a very healthy breakfast :T

Have not kept up with the thread, or the flying. Sorry. A few things I have managed though:

Washing kept up to date - clothesline got fixed yesterday . . . YAY!!!
    Cars re-registered
    Invoices printed and copied
    Statements printed
House is reasonably tidy, but will do a wee bit of catch up at the weekend.

Dusty - why do you hoover smoke alarms?

I do it once a year - first week of the year, open it up and hoover inside carefully with the little brush attachment - I must have read somewhere once that you should do it.

Dusty I'm struggling on week 2!

Does anyone who's child goes to cubs know if there is ANYWHERE else I can buy the same colour sweatshirts from? DS2s starting in about 6 weeks, but the biggest cub size sweater is the one he has now for Beavers which won't last him long at all.....

Lil_me which room are you doing this week hun?

I assume your cubs where bottle green sweatshirts? It is the same colour as my boys school sweatshirts (but they are logo'd) ASDA sometimes do that colour here (as we have schools wearing it) What size are you looking for and I'll see if I can see any, also give me an idea of price.

well a very non-productive day flying-wise for me but a very 'interesting' one! you may have noticed on my list this week that I was meeting toxic today to see her new grandson - didnt even get the arrangements until 10 this morning - but hey-ho i was there and LO is gorgeous so I had lots of cuddles in Dobbies - was meant to be at her house ??? - I managed to nicely say in passing that she had mucked up my plans at christmas and again this week so she eventually admitted that she had forgotten:rolleyes:  yeah right! She has made yet more tentative arrangements which I have no doubt will not come to fruition!
WE swapped Christmas pressies and I was disappointed that she didnt even wrap mine - it was in the same carrier bag that we bought it in - I was with her so I could chose it! A lot of effort there:rolleyes: Anyway she gave me my pressie from her daughter and when I got home there was an evelope inside containing an invite to the daughters marriage blessing on 14th FEb - oh bo**ocks!!!!! Dilemma!!!!
this blessing was arranged for last year and then they split up!
    so its back on -
    do I go?
    do I want to go?
    can I afford to go?
we would be flying down and
I would need something to wear - only have casual clothes nothing smart.
do i need to buy a present?

I dont really like the SIL - he has been a proper !!!!!! but its her choice and if she wants to be with him then thats fine!
Oh and they have got a new dog - a Staff bull terrier I think its called - you know the ones that are very strong and can be aggressive - I am not very sure of them - make me nervous!

oh double bo**ocks - I hate situations like this!!

It was lovely thanks, we just had some family round as we cant afford to do a party thing as we're saving up for a washing machine:o

Should hopefully have enough money on friday when i get paid.

Nicki that is just like LO's brace, but also without the big hole in the side. Not the most flattering or comfortable of things are they?

Mumoffour - Pluracy. Do you mean you keep doing things twice or do you mean you have pleurisy - the nasty chest thing? Big hugs either way.
    :rotfl:

Moff I really hope you recover soon. Two friends have had pleurisy in the past so I have an idea of how bad you can be, so tiring and painful. Please rest lots if you possibly can xx
