Emily sounds like you have transformed that new house of yours - well done - great having all the family support too - hugs for your great niece!
serena - I recognise those filing instructions - that was Greenbee's instructions when I was struggling with the piles on the kitchen table last year - it was an excellent help!- I printed it off too and still refer to it!! And Valli's list of how long to keep things. Couldnt have managed without them!
mudbath - you could have chips with your pizza on saturday???

mumoffour77 - huge hugs, and take especially good care of yourself. I'm pretty sure pigpen will 'sign you off' for a day or two!
:hello:Hi julu! And welcome to all the other newbies today, whose names I failed to write down while I ws speedreading the thread!
I pretty much finished the list today, except that the stairs still have a few things on and need vacuuming, and I haven't washed the sofa covers, as I need to check if I can do them in the home machine or if they have to be done at the launderette - they look pretty big for the home machine.
After I dropped DS1 back at school, I went into town, and treated myself to a couple of books from WHS (voucher) and some goodies in Boots (another voucher - valli - Pantene sachets 97p each and get 100 points!!). Then I bought the lining for the livingroom curtains, so I am all ready to start on them Friday. We definitely need them - it's been very chilly in the evening this week.
:TVery well done to all our new flybabies who have done fantastically brilliantly well today - even if you did just one corner of the livingroom, celebrate!!:T
Off to cook dinner....
ps tuttifrutti - yes, I thought you'd recognise them! Unfortunately, I didn't save the other one, which was about starting by sorting into the different categories - eg gas, phone, junk mail, medical etc etc whioch I thought was a great way to start. I'm going to be doing that with my 'filing' upstairs - in carrier bags, when I moved it all out of the livingroom for Christmas!!
pps - why can't I spell your name correctly???It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Evening all
Mudders - don't do too much! and what a brilliant idea with the magnets! Though the way I got round the sweets/chocolate/biscuits business was to just stop buying them!
Oddjob - lovely photo
Dusty - you're doing well with your declutter plan
Welcome Julu and any other new people
Mumoffour - Pluracy. Do you mean you keep doing things twice or do you mean you have pleurisy - the nasty chest thing? Big hugs either way. I think it was Pink Fairy had that the other week. She's testament that you will get over it - but take it very easy.
Reasonable day at work after the horrible drive in. There were cars slid about all over the place but I was fine fortunately. Two on one roundabout I used. I shall be glad when this horrible weather is over.
Off to do a bit of flying then chicken stirfry for teaI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I am struggling to keep awake. My body is so tired and I am struggling to function properly.
I don't think I will be able to do any more than just tidy the kitchen after the kids have finished eating.
I have a hospital appointment in an hour so will try and do what I can before I leave. I hope to go to bed early tonight.
I feel even worse seeing that the master bedroom is tomorrow. My room is a tip. I really hate it. It will take me forever to clear the clutter out.
Oh my God how did I let it get into such a state.
Oh well tomorrow is another day.....
Newlifeahead - It won't take forever, but it won't just happen tomorrow, either. Why? Because it didn't all happen in ONE DAY, so most likely you won't fix it in one day. But fix it you will . . . using babysteps!! You can do it - just pace yourself. Good luck.
On the tiredness issue - one of my jobs is at a hospital laboratory. We are getting so many people through at the moment with clinical symptoms of fatigue. We are putting it down to the heat over here, but I'm not as sure. I've been feeling it too. One day last week I napped in the morning, napped in the afternoon AND slept well that night. I think in my case it's a little bit of depression creeping back in.If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Wannabe Flybaby0 -
OJK awwww she's diddy!
Paperwork - I keep all statements, bills etc. Every year I take them all from the filing cabinet (previously were just in a box) and pack them away in show box size boxes, write the year on.
mumoftwo hope you feel better soon
Dusty I'm struggling on week 2!
Does anyone who's child goes to cubs know if there is ANYWHERE else I can buy the same colour sweatshirts from? DS2s starting in about 6 weeks, but the biggest cub size sweater is the one he has now for Beavers which won't last him long at all.....
Spent several hours sorting bikes, they thought there was loads not repairable but managed to strip one very broken one, use that for parts to fix another. Tiring, wrists hurt from spanner/screwdriver turning, hands are manky, but very worth it.
Have since we got back put another washload out/in, made boys dinner, filled DW, collected DS2, been shopping, tidied some stuff, online banking. emails, freecycle..........now feeling rather tired but have to stay awake as DP is asleep.
Hope you are all ok and have a great evening xOne day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Well, back from vet's with cat. He was surprised to see her thought she looked a lot better than last time (did'nt think she'd make it through to New Year!!! and neither did I).
Anyway given her 10 more days of antibiotics and see how she goes. She's just had her first one with Tuna (well she is poorly and does deserve it). So we'll just have to wait and see. If she looks as though she's in pain though.....
Well fly ladying has kinda wound down a bit, feeling quite tired, have had gone to 5min bursts of activity. Am half way through lounge though, vacuuming each bit as I go. so will get there slowly but surely.;)The problem with common sense is its not very common:rotfl:
How do you climb Mount Everest? One step at a time0 -
Hellloooo - I fiinshed off the kitchen cupboards and the tops... no S&S here I tell you - more like intensive labour!! Also emptied, cleaned and tidied two low kitchen cupboards... that was all and it took 3/4 hour as they were gross!!!
Going to carry on in kitchen - sort out bookshelf, table and chairs and ehatever else - HHC starting at 18:20!!
Decided to concentrate on kitchen for today and will do living room and bedroom tomorrow - master bedroom is the ONE area I keep totally tidy all the time!! (however have embarrassingly just had to put the other set of sheets on to wash as they are still lingering at the bottom of the wash basket from last time!) However I feel VERY proud that this is motivating me to do that!!!
Right HHC here I come!!DFW Nerd #1310
