Funny thing I noticed. Whenever I realise a CC payment is due in the next couple of days (and I pay it immediately) it usually doesn't show on my bank statement until a day or so after the due date. And I get charged £12 for the privilege of being late with my payment.

However, I paid three CCs on Sunday, all of them well before the due dates. Strangely, the amounts are all showing on my bank statement as coming out immediately on Monday.

    Hrm...

Not sure exactly, as I don't know your bank/cc details, but I do know most of the banks have changed their systems to a new fastpayment one - if you make a payment online now, it goes immediately to the person you are paying - as long as they are in the system too... maybe your bank has just signed up?

    A&W'sMum will probably know more?

I can't believe how long this has taken me so far - I've only achieved cleaning surfaces and the floor and I started at 5pm!!!! Although i have used the opportunity to re-arrange the kitchen. I have too many gadgets that I use daily so they all have to be out (and I don't have any space to put them in a cupboard) so they have all had a little dance and live somewhere different and more practical (I hope) - OH really is going to think he's come home to someone else's house on Friday!!
So...this is what I still have left to do.....

    Tuesday - tinklings
    Level One
    [strike]Clear and wipe kitchen worksurfaces
    Sweep the floor![/strike]

    Level Two
    [strike]Mop the floor[/strike]
Wipe the table and dining chairs … hmm my dining table is in the lounge and is covered in absolute rubbish as it's our dumping ground – but onwards and upwards I guess I can only wipe the table if I have emptied it first so here goes….
    Muck out the fridge
    Level Three
Empty the under the sink cupboard.. give it a wipe out and put back neatly the things you NEED.. get rid of or rehome the rest!
S&S over all the unit fronts and appliances!
    Extras
    1. Wash the windows and sills
    2. Clean out the microwave
    3. Fill a binbag with rubbish and get rid!
    4. Hoover lounge, [strike]hallway[/strike] and stairs
    5. [STRIKE]re-arrange kitchen[/STRIKE]
    6. sort out kitchen cupboards
...but I will succeed, I have no children, I haven't yet caught the nasty bugs going around, my OH is away working till Friday therefore I have NO EXCUSES!!!! Right, I must stop procrastinating and get to it....
  • I have entered a load more payments but need to take DS out now to his 'works do!' (seems weird with him still being at school... :) )

Then home to finish paperwork, then do egg, chips and beans for me and hubby for when he gets in at 7.30pm (his choice and I LUUURRRVVE chips...)

    See you in a bit...

  • I thought I'd finished flying for today. I feel too poorly to do anymore. And DD has just brought me her dirty PE top for washing. She needs it clean and dry for morning. It'll just have to have a quick wash and dry overnight on the radiator. Hopefully it'll iron itself (I can dream, can't I?)
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D
