Thank you!
I've been waiting for someone to tell me that it's good before I bought it.
My dogs have soemthing on toast for breakfast every day, usually a bit of my tuna when I do my sandwich for work or some salmon or beef paste. I wouldn't get away with eating tinned fish without giving them some too, spoilt bratsI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

For a sort of baked omelette?
Layer a shallow oven-proof dish with sliced tomatoes and tinned salmon, alternating the layers, then pour over 3/4 beaten eggs. Bung some grated cheese on top then stick in the oven for 10-15mins. Makes a fabulous brunch or supper.0 -
American friends put flaked, tinned tuna into a cheese sauce, add cooked noodles to it (usually linguine but I reckon spaghetti or anything else would do) and bake it in the oven with a few breadcrumbs on top to make it crispy. I reckon salmon would do just as well.
As for the fish-cakes: yes an egg and breadcrumb coating before cooking. Mmmm, I'm getting hungry now just thinking about it.0 -
My boyfriend made a home-made pizza with a tomato base and tinned salmon & some tartare sauce - mmmmmmmmm!0

Hard boil eggs, slice length ways down the middle and remove yolks. Mix with mayonaise and curry powder. Place mixture back into the egg and place yolk side down into an oven-proof dish. Mix salmon or tuna with a tin of campbells condensed soup. Cellery or chicken work well, (yes, chicken it really does work) Pour over eggs and top with breadcrumbs mixed with a little melted butter. Bake in oven until brown and bubbley. Serve with salad or veg. Enjoy, mmmmmmmmm!0

All these lovely ideas for meals with Salmon....i love salmon sandwiches so much though that tinned salmon doesn't stand a chance in our house to be made into anything else.0

Hi barneysmom,
As this thread has evolved into a thread on what to do with tinned salmon, I've added it to the existing thread to keep the ideas together.

Thank you Pink-Winged, I hadn't realised (though I guess I should've) that there was another one going
;)
Out of a 213g tin of salmon I got 6 fishcakes, not huge ones.
Then enough for me to have one and half sandwiches for work, plus I spread some on a piece of toast each for both dogs  for breakfast.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
