McDonalds Drive Thru

I know McDonalds are crap anyway but they annoyed me and i need to moan.

Couldn't be bothered to cook so went Mcdonalds. Used 2 vouchers from their new promo, anyway, first of all got overcharged, complained to the manager then got the amount they had overcharged back. Got half way home then realised that hadn't given me a happy meal (i had a family of 7 to buy for, so i had a lot of food) so i drove back and didn't get an apology from the staff or manager.

Then i know i should've re checked the bags etc but didn't have time, got home and they had given a chocolate milkshake instead of a strawberry one.

I have made several complaints about this branch (near Collier Row, Essex) over the past few years and nothing ever happens. I haven't even had any responses to my complaints.

McDonalds are crap with their customer service.

Ok, Rant over. Thank you i feel much better. :)

  • It's probably a franchised restaurant - I've had problems with the one in Malvern, Worcestershire, where the coffee was basically dark brown water - no taste. Their filet-o-fish was slammed in a box with mayo everywhere, I went back and was ignored and glared at by the staff as if it was my fault they have people with an IQ of below 20 working behind the counter. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

You should complain to HQ but also speak to your local paper and get their interest then mention to HQ that the local paper is involved and you want a suitable goodwill gesture for the inconvenience caused.

    Good luck :D

Didn't it used to be that if you spot that they had given you the wrong drink then they let you keep it aswell as giving you the one you asked for??

Now they either throw the wrong one away or wait until someone orders it

The mcdonalds in Manchester are no better.

Especially the ones in Wythenshawe they are always either short changing you, miss items out or mix up the orders.

I think they hope that you can't be bothered returning once youve driven away.

I always remember going into Mcdonalds when my 2 year old was a couple of weeks old and bought the stuff and gave the woman a £20.00 not realising she had given me change of only £10.00 due to baby screaming and i had my eldest son with me so was in a bit of a flap at the time.

When i got home and realised i rang them up to tell them what had happened,
they checked the till and came back and said couldn't of been a £20.00 as that till was actually £10.00 down.

Somehow i think someone had pocketed the money taking advantage of the situation.

    Complain here.

Make sure you include all details. If the restaurant is franchised, they should "have a word" on your behalf.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Just to add to the general bashing of McDee's..
Over the past few years I've visted good old McDee's and have to say their service has got worse.
I am fed up of having to drive back to collect a missing item from my order or to change the wrong item. On occassion I've had to drive back from home because half my order was missing - Yes I know I should have checked but whatever, it's not hard to read the receipt and computer screens to check you have included everything is it?!
It's not like it happens rarely, almost every visit I make results in me going back because they've missed something.

I've not been for a while, however, yesterday we were really hungry and popped in the drive thru.. I ordered a Hello Kitty toy @ 99p (Minus the Happy Meal) and they never blooming gave it me!! Didn't realise until I was home.
Yes I was devastated I didn't get the Hello Kitty toy! =( :rotfl:

Thanks MrBadExample, I'm off to complain
    The £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.

If it's a franchised place then don't hold your breath - nothing ever happened with my complaint except that I was told that 'my comments would be passed to the restaurant owner'.

I don't go there anymore and none of my family/relatives do either. They need to see their share price plunge before they start to change their attitude. We should all take action and vow never to go there again. It's of no use just moaning on here then going back the next week and ordering from then and starting the vicious circle again; promise yourself that you and your family will never eat from there ever again. If everyone does this then they may start to clean up their act.

Phew... going for a lie down after that :o

Last time I went to one I saw the person preparing the food and they were picking up the salad ingredients with their bare hands and putting it on the bagels. YUK!!! I don't go anymore.
