Friday 2/1/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

Not a very good DFW day for me as work haven't paid anyone today:eek: . Therefor my day began with a phonecall from disgruntled staff! Something to with the bank holiday apparently, but you'd have thought that a huge multi-national retailer could cope with a couple of bank holidays! Never mind, I am close to the od limit but still have a couple of hundred pounds as a buffer so not as much of a disaster as it could be.
Today I will/have:
-Three auctions ending on eBay- £25 made from selling some old clothes- not bad. Will also list some more bits later.
-Tons of recycling done at Tesco
-Walked into town so saved on petrol and parking. Debenhams didn't have what I wanted so that's £45 not spent.
-Found 17p on the way into town- better than nowt.
-Tree and decorations taken down meaning lots more room to airdry the washing that I've washed at 30
Think that's all, although trying to have a bog old clear out so hopefully will also have some stuff to freecycle.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

- Shopping in Aldi & Asda (smartprice only) to buy this week's fresh stuff, plus enough non-perishables to last for 1 month. (Including washing powder & fabric softener) Sticking STRICTLY to my shopping list. Planned maximum spend - £30
- Go to gym to cancel membership (can't do it over the phone)
- Make batch of chilli (from my cooking on a budget cookbook) and freeze portions.
- NSD other than food shopping

WELL that was somewhat unsuccessful!!
Got to Aldi - no fruit or veg in til tomorrow...
Headed over to Asda but by the time I got there my shoulder was in agony & shop was heaving, so just went home empty handed
Then went to the gym to cancel my membership, only to be told I have to go to the centre I originally signed the agreement at in order to cancel it!! Boo!! It's a few miles away so I will make use of my bus season ticket, which runs out on the 4th, to get there tomorrow and cancel it!! There's a two-month cancellation period, but it's my birthday in march so I will just have to make use of the gym til then and ask for a decent pair of running shoes for my birthday!
And the chilli-making didn't happen as I had no supplies with which to make it!!
Ah well...on the plus side, it's an extra NSD to add on, plus I made use of frozen leftovers for my tea, so not a total loss!0 -
