Hi all , back from the you know who, ssssh (dentist) , very nice man ,
first time at this place so it was added dread as the old place looked after me very well, anyway ,
not a NSD as I had to get a prescription , use the car to get there , car parking ticket. All the normal .
He didnt charge me (yet) for today and I'm booked up again for the 27th , just before payday. He did a lot of "mm" , "argha" "ohh" so I need lots of work which is never cheap, but I have stopped shaking now and dont feel so carppy.
Managed to eat something now.
Just done me racecaller, so glad they extended that .
Now off to do surveys and dailys.

Hello hello, well from my list of things I have posted my SOA on my diary thread and can see there is plenty of room for some changes.
I have also:
- Done one load of washing
- Done my scratchcard (10p)
- Signed up for 2 mystery shops (one from the other day got cancelled:( )
- So far had a no spend day, thats all set to change when I go to my dads in a bit though as I need fuel
- Going to a friends tonight who has a breadmaker collecting dust in a cupboard so I'm going to see if he will let me borrow it!
- Get free dinner at my friends house!
- Have a look at changing my contact lenses supplier through Quidco
I'm sure there is more but that'll do for now!0 -

I have far too much going on in my life atm that I am feeling a need a break from here (and internet in general tbh) but I have occasionally popped on here & lurked. Will be occasionally coming on next month or 2 but need to refocus and reorganise my life after the last quarter of 2008 was not the best time for me. 2009 will hopefully be better but I have some things I need to do first.
However, today I started my chrimble shopping for 2009, bought my niece a my little pony with book for £3 in sales, also got some reduced presents for friends expecting babies this week.
I too have a phobia of dentists, I think its about not being in control and not been able to ask them to stop when they have hands in mouths.
I have been known to vomit just having a check up and was terrible when I had fillings last month.
Hope everyone is well and I am thinking about this thread, despite my need to refocus for a while.
Sorry you are feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment PL, you had a lot to deal with towards the end of the year. Hope you are feeling better. Take time out to get yourself sorted and feel free to pop on here any time you like for a bit of support. Take care x x :kisses3:0 -
Hey andan what a list nice to see you have so much energy as well in 2009! Great advice as always and a good list to steal a few things from yours - he he he.
My dentist gave me xanax? not sure of spelling for the first few visits and then it got a bit easier, to behonest that he listened was the main thing i only took the tablets the first time and then didnt need them - am terrified of the dentist as well - thankfully not too much wrong with my teeth at the mo.
Nice to see you back Faye, take it things are back to normal now for you?
You can pinch things off my list anytime, your welcome to do them for me as well if you like:rotfl:
All this talk of dentists has got me looking at getting some dental plan, think its insurance.
Just wondering how everyone else manages to pay for the dentist, they are very expensive. i am going to see if i am exempt from paying, as i only earn a small amount, can't afford it otherwise.
Painted lady, best of luck in getting things refocused in your life. At times like this, it can be best to cut back on lots of things, get to the core of them and sort out whats really going on for you. The support is here if you need it, i hope you get everything sorted and 2009 turns out better for you.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

I had a dental plan last year though work I took it out because I knew I needed a fair bit of work done, new crown that sort of thing. It paid out about three quarters of the cost of the treatment. I also went for a check-up and scale and polish just before the year was up.
I'm not taking the option up this year as I don't think it's worth it for everyday care, only major work. My dentist agrees with me that if your teeth are good you only need an annual check and this is what I'm going to do. Actually, I'll probably have the check just before I need to make the decision about which benefits to take up
and if I pass muster, I'll pass on the dental plan....
This is, of course, only my experience of dental plans! I did find they paid up promptly and with no quibble whatsoever. Hope this helps

Hi to all. Late getting on here today as had to go and get new tyre on car .... more expense .... but OH said it was perished and dangerous so had to be done.
Good luck Princess Loki with the interview - let us know how it went. Also good luck with the reference Mbaz - my daughter will be doing it next year for medical degree so know how important it is. Jayjmck (you star) has given you a fantastic list of things to include. I can only add that you must emphasise your interpersonal skills, confidence, committment and positive attitude. Good luck with it!
Not a NSD for me today! Did manage to get some bargain gifts in Boots though, birthday presents for MIL and neice. Also got OH's vitamins on 3 for 2 and used Boots voucher for £2.50 that came in the post this morning so all very DFW!
Today I have;- Updated online banking against spreadsheet.
- Used money off voucher in Boots.
- Only bought what I needed at the supermarket.
- Cancelled bank overdraft and saved £38.30 per month in charges.
- Only booked cut, not wash and cut for daughter at hairdressers saving £6.
- Transferred OH's CC balance to 0% Virgin deal for 16 months.
- Found loose change in car to go into change jar.
- Paid off balance on M & S CC.
- Took catfood back to supermarket as shelf price said £2.65 but receipt said £3.39 when got home and checked. They refunded the difference!
- Set WM to come on at night using economy 7.
- Chose Sunsilk shampoo instead of Pantene as it was half price.
- Said no to OH when he wanted 'Subway' in town (only 5 mins to get home).

Hiya - can someone remind me of the standard daily clicks on Quidco (and Pigsback if there are any)? I've fallen by the wayside a bit with this recently!
Thanks

Not a NSD for me today, as OH and I went into town shopping. I bought a much needed knife rack (my cutlery drawer was a bit dangerous without  ), and OH bought some (more) secondhand books. Hope he gets around to reading them! We also had lunch out as it is the last day of our Christmas break
, and popped into the farm shop on the way back to buy a big bag of potatoes (which saves loads, as they keep for ages at this time of the year). Still, we didn't spend too much! Apart from that, I have checked online banking and moved some money around, and we will have a storecupboard tea. I have some apples to juice before they go off (must do that) and a small piece of puff pastry to use up - with yet more apples I guess - to avoid waste! 0 -
Finished my application I think! Have emailed it to my cleverest friends to see what they think! Would post it on here but don't want it falling into the wrong hands and being stolen! I have to say i am pretty proud of it. Here's hoping...! x0
