today OH is home so a mixed day, but a good one as we have a whole day together
Check online banking
Do free scratchcard (10p)
Make and put up new kitchen cupboard
find knitting stuff so can start knitting baby stuff for OH's nephew's girlfriend
Find another laundry basket full of recycling to do, started well with cutting up chrissy cards for gift tags
take down tree

Today I have:

Checked my online banking
Quidco clicks (10p)
Free scratch (10p)
Having a NSD (bar food, which is budgeted for)
Updated spreadsheets
Going out for a walk (well, not saving me money, but man do I feel fat after Christmas )

PS my fun thing for yesterday was a long walk in sunshine with the dog - took the camper van and wore a very very silly hat and silly socks. then called into a pals for a cup of tea at 4pm and left at 9.30pm having been fed and watched the large (over 6ft ) men folks playing enthusiastically on the wii - tummy sore from laughing.

Thanks to SM for the thread and all you lovely folk who make me feel like I have a whole virtual world of chums out there keeping me going. xx

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good new years and xmas.
i got back from my xmas holiday today so back on with the moneysaving. Though I still did my daily scratchcard whilst I was away!

-do dooyoo review and ratings
-do some slice the pie (withdrew £30 from it the other day!)
-done scratchcard am on £9.25 so nearly there now!
-phone some friends this weekend
-go do a food shop
-bank gave me £9 interest on current account today
-heating is on as the flat is freezing!!

This morning I have:

Checked the bank.......ok

Not doing anything else, nowt to do and it will be a NSD as I have to wait in for Virgin Media to come to collect a carbon monxide alarm. We had it when we were in our house, but as we have a district heating system here we do not need it any more.

Happy New Year!

Hope you all had a good one. I only spent £17 on NYE and had budgeted for £30...left over money has been split between c/c and wedding pot. Had a lovely evening and then picked up new car yesterday! So happy with it. Also had a NSD...so great start to the year!

Today I will/have:

• Done shopping list and menu plan for week
• Went shopping...and was under budget!
• Went to bottle bank
• Posted car reg document
• Only used a tiny amount of petrol and not using car again for rest of day
• Have updated spending diary
• Have put a load of washing on at 30, will put another load on in a bit
• Check online banking
• Do some financial planning for things I need this year (tax, MOT etc)
• Book honeymoon - money in wedding savings account - £300 for a cottage in the Lakes for a week:j :j :j
• Catch up on people's diaries
• Housework up and down
• Mum gave me some wedding magazines the other day - have a look through and add things to scrapbook
• Look through local paper for any deals/competitions
• I'm in the paper (see Mon 29/12!) Have used free texts and facebook to ask people to vote for me
• Finish puzzle section in trashy mag
• Go through TV guide for next week
• Phone nana using free minutes
• Update diary in filofax - list peoples birthdays for the year
• Upload photos of xmas and new year on computer then onto facebook
• Staying in tonight with OH

Hi everyone ,
10p+10p on scratch cards

rubbish day today so far,
bad nights sleep tossing and turning , REALLY wide awake at 6am ,
feel rubbish and dentist in 1hour _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ :eek: :eek: :eek: ,,,,,,not as over my dental phobia fear as I convinced myself oh well .

Still looking forward to coming home afterwards to check on surveys and do any clicks.

Lily, you are spending to accumulate, sometimes it has to be done and if you will save money in the long run then at least you are going to benefit.

Best of luck with writing your uni reference mbaz, fay has said everything i would say. One other thing people love to hear is that you can use your own initiative, ie you can think on your feet and aren't afraid to implement your own ideas. I would have thought that in that line of work it is important to be empathic yet be able to be detatched, so not become too overly involved, so realise the importance of boundaries and ethics.

hi everyone :hello: first time posting on this thread!!

hampsterpoo... I entirely understand about the dentist - it will be ok though.


So far today I have done the following:

- checked online banking (the website was down so had to phone technical support to get in), nearly had a purple fit when I saw the balance - then I realised I have got a few cheques to pay in so it's all ok!
- moved my terramundi into the living room so I can get properly cracking with my sealed pot challenge. I fished out all the loose change from the bottom of my handbag and put it straight in there.
- Going to scour all my old handbags etc for anything later on.
- Staying in today, I was very nearly sick this morning (tmi - sorry!) so I'm just going to take things easy until the shakes wear off... so today will be another NSD.
- Going to fill the time with a bit of family tree research
- Might hop over to the comps board to see if there are any good competitions to enter!
