but I do find this site helpful

Ooh, thanks for the website link, someone like me definitely needs that. I went to the dentist for the first time in seven years in 2008. Even then i jumped out of the chair when it started moving and i had to ask the man to remove his fingers from my mouth and to stop touching my teeth:o:rotfl:
Really need to go back and get them scaled and polished, its one of my new years resolutions:eek::j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Afternoon everyone... hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year. I'm still sat here in my dressing gown and pjs through a combination of feeling poorly and feeling lazy... work on Monday is going to be a bit of a shock to the system.
December was remarkably cheap for me. I bought most of my presents in advance and received lots of vouchers and pennies for Christmas. My sealed pot has grown through Newmarket winnings and bribery money for letting the new year in. And being poorly means my entertainment has consisted of sitting in my toasty house and nibbling on the food we have in.
Suppose I best stop waffling and get a list sorted:
* Checked online banking. DDs have come out to round up my savings. Apart from the bag I bought in the sale, these are my only out-goings so far this month.
* Checked emails. Done a survey and discovered that Quidco have paid me £40. Woo.
* Need to update signature.
* Transfer all my money info from my old diary to my shiny new gold diary.
* Weigh-in on Wii Fit. I want to lose 26 lbs before going away in the summer and my reward will be some sexy boots that I've seen (and of course, a lovely skinny figure!)
*No sparkle socks for me today as I wore them yesterday. It'll be banana socks today
Have a good afternoon everyone!0 -
Hey andan what a list nice to see you have so much energy as well in 2009! Great advice as always and a good list to steal a few things from yours - he he he.
My dentist gave me xanax? not sure of spelling for the first few visits and then it got a bit easier, to behonest that he listened was the main thing i only took the tablets the first time and then didnt need them - am terrified of the dentist as well - thankfully not too much wrong with my teeth at the mo.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Hey Everyone
Busy thread today!!!!!
good luck with the interview, dentist, applications and everything else we are all doing.
I too had a dentist appointment. Scale and polish - it was fine.
My best friend arrives in a couple of hours for a couple of days - can't wait. I've scrubbed and cleaned and made a big pasta bake for when they arrive. I've made a massive batch so the rest can go in the freezer - I never would have done that before.
So today I have:- been to the dentist (long term MSE!)
- cooked a pasta bake
- baked a loaf in the BM
- checked emails - Quidco have just sent me £24!!
- check bank accounts
- update spreadsheets to account for my spending spree the other day!
- write receipt for rent from lodger
- final tidy of bathroom and stairs
- finish trade mag and recycle
- update my signature with all the new challenges I have joined
- check the exchange rate in preparation for holiday.
- Meal plan
Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone, I been absent for a few weeks. I have far too much going on in my life atm that I am feeling a need a break from here (and internet in general tbh) but I have occasionally popped on here & lurked. Will be occasionally coming on next month or 2 but need to refocus and reorganise my life after the last quarter of 2008 was not the best time for me. 2009 will hopefully be better but I have some things I need to do first.
However, today I started my chrimble shopping for 2009, bought my niece a my little pony with book for £3 in sales, also got some reduced presents for friends expecting babies this week.
I too have a phobia of dentists, I think its about not being in control and not been able to ask them to stop when they have hands in mouths.
I have been known to vomit just having a check up and was terrible when I had fillings last month.
Hope everyone is well and I am thinking about this thread, despite my need to refocus for a while.0
