    Morning all!

Quick one from me (I know, I always say that!) because I joined the Flylady thread this week and want to do a little tidying before work as I'm going out tonight!

    Good things:
    1. £100 incentive from A&L was paid into my account today :j so I have paid £50 to my Emergency Fund and another £50 to Barclaycard
    2. The payment received above means I have hit my targets for this month already :rotfl: Barclaycard is at £500 now, I have paid the extra £100 I was aiming for into my Emergency Fund and my total payments to debt since November will definitely be over £2k now :D:D:D
    3. £20 Asda voucher received from Ipoints which will [strike]mean guilt free cake [/strike] help with the shoppiug budget
    4. I will be on holiday in 1 week and 2 days - 8 working days including today to get through :D
That's about all. Plans for today consisit of going to work, cleaning the bathroom and going to the pub! Have a lovely Hump Day :rotfl:

Hi FF, glad to see you have your priorities sorted out with the flying... :rotfl: that gets as addictive as PAD if you ask me... (which most people tend not to as I then proceed to bore the pants off them...:D )

You have done great with your payments and are putting me to shame. I really need to find out where our money is going. I have done a budget and we get a good wage coming in now, but there just seems to be SOOOOO much going out, I just don't know how we can cut back any more, it's pretty sickening, still, we're getting there and PAD has made a MASSIVE difference to us, I've never been able to save before and now I make sure that I round up my account every evening (hate odd pennies :o ) so it always ends in a 5 or a 0 - not much, but it really helps at the end of the month and you don't miss it that way.

Ooooh, sorry, rambling, but just really chuffed for you and you've given me a boost in my plans too, so thank you. x :T
    LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00

Well done on hitting your targets already:T:T
pay day for me on Friday and looking forward to paying some big chunks off of my debt (had a little bonus this month) so will be over £1000 paid off! :j (and have a teeny-weeny bit left over to buy a few bits as treats:D) I had been aiming to do this by end of April but quite chuffed to be a month ahead of schedule:dance:

Carry on budgeteering!- wish I could work up the energy for the Flylady thread!:D

Well done on hitting those targets already! Doing brilliantly as always!

I love that you get to do stuff like tidying before you go to work - I leave the house between 6.45 and 7am so that stuff has to wait till I get in (which means I can usually never be bothered to do it!)

    Enjoy the pub later!
    xx

    Morning all!

I'm sleepy...went to bed at 11pm, work up at midnight and 4am and finally got up at 6am. It's blowing a hoolie here which is keeping me awake

On the plus side, MY SHOWER IS FIXED!!! The plumber guy came and fitted the new screen etc yesterday so I will be able to have a nice warm shower in half an hour. I'm just going to have a quick scrub of the bathroom first :D

No major plans for today, although I would like to nip into Boots and see what I can get with my £5 No7 vouchers, which are breeding in my purse. The weather is mince here though and if it's raining at lunchtime I might just stay at work :D

No major DFW news to report - I have received £10.70 into my account and I don't know where it came from...I checked my other accounts as I normally move money around a lot, and no sign - looks like it came from another account with the same bank, so I might do some digging and see what I can figure out.

Emergency fund is now well over £300 and climbing. I don't think I will get it over £500 by next payday, but that's my new plan!

Have a lovely day everyone, POETS day tomorrow!
  • exbike.gifWell done Flying Fresian! You've done really well! Also thanks for mentioning the No7 vouchers as I thought they had already expired and now I can go and spend my remaining 2.
(Sorry for the random picture - DS2 who's 4 chose it!)

Quick copy and paste from the Grabbit thread - this is what I got with my voucher:

    1 x mini No 7 brush set £7.83
    1 x No7 eyeshadow £6.90
    1 x facewash (reduced) £3.80
1x Highlights to use with voucher from ACM

£24.73 total as 3 for 2 took off the facewash

    - £5.00 perkie
    -£10.00 for Highlights

Total paid = £9.73 and I used my double points coupon!

    Good morning lovely people hellowave.gif

I haven't been posting that often recently, as I seem to have loads of threads to read and no time to update my own :rotfl:

So, the shower is fixed and I am a happy Fresian indeed
HSsingshower.gifIt is actually nicer than it used to be too! We had the shower boards replaced and a new screen fitted on top of the old base, so it feels bigger somehow even though it's not. Odd!

I managed to snap off the door handle on the washing machine yesterday,
HSwash.gif which I bore with good grace all things considered. If it had happened when the shower was out of action I think I would have been grumpier, but there wasn't a lot I could do about it. I was making good inroads into Washing Mountain as well, I will have to hang up my crampons until it's fixed I suppose!

My parents have come to visit this weekend, and thanks to the Flylady thread I didn't spend all of Friday evening bleaching the house!
HSthanks.gifI had done a lot of work in the house through the week, so I just had to get t'other half to hoover for me, and the place looked lovely. I thought I would be a rubbish Flylady, but I do seem to work well when given a "to do" list and a place to go and confess my sins signlol.gifI am currently avoiding my To Do list though so I can post here, which is very naughty of me nono.gif

Off to the shops soon with my mum (going to do some serious Bootsing hopefully, armed with my Boots Grabbit tricks!) while my dad tries to fix my washing machine, and the dodgy cupboard door in the kitchen. We're off out for dinner too which should be nice. HShungry.gifHShungry.gifHShungry.gifHShungry.gifHShungry.gif

Better go and have a shower - once I have started my Flylady tasks of course!

    Have a lovely day all!

In the Flylady thread on the Oldstyle board there is a thread for each week (I'm a n00b, this is my first week :rotfl:) You see the tasks for each day on the first post, and you choose which level you want to do for the day. I am generally Level 1 due to my innate hatred of hoovering and washing windows. I failed at Level 1 the other day as there were windows to be washed in that list!

You can also add on extras for each day if you have "to do" things - so this week I have decluttered my bathroom, sorted out paperwork etc. It's a really good motivator. I normally check the list first thing (You know I'm bad for early mornings!) and do a couple of bits before work, then log on after work and see what I didn't have time to do in the morning. T'other half has been confused but grateful for the new domestic goddess he's shacked up with :rotfl:
