Wow, assuming you work full time that's about 74p per month before tax!! Don't spend it all at once :rotfl:

    Hey all,

Thanks for all the good bonus wishes :D

I was quite sad the other day as I had planned to go to the Frozen North to stay with some friends and it turned out that they were going to be away when we were planning on visiting, but they have now said that they will insure t'other half on their car and let us have their house up there for as long as we want it, so I don't have to spend as much as £250 on our holiday, woo! :j

In other good news, Quidco is showing as paying out over £80 this month, so I am going to put half to debt and half to something nice for me.

Not a lot else to report at present, I am going to get dressed now and take advantage of the good weather by doing lots of washing :rotfl:

    Have a lovely weekend!

Noticed your comment on pad about chicken soup... my way is:
strip all chicken off the bones and keep it to one side, chop it into the size of 'chunks' you want in the soup.
Put carcase into a big pot with some herbs and stuff, cover with water and simmer for a few hours, then strain and allow to cool.
Then just chop up a load of veg, and boil chicken + veg in the stock you made till its all cooked!
Some people add cream and stuff, I never bother usually just do it with leeks and the chicken then crush up a load of spaghetti and chuck it in toward the end, then right at the end of cooking I add an egg and whisk it around (so it all separates in the soup) makes lovely chicken noodle soup!
    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

Boo hiss, here come the debts

    Barclaycard - started at £1131.90

Overdraft - at its worst £1007

    Personal Loan - was £6973.73

    Morning all!

The quote above shows my debts when I hit my LBM on 28th November last year. As it's payday tomorrow I thought I would do my normal monthly update, but with these figures so I can see how far I have really come. So...

Boo hiss, here come the debts

Barclaycard - started at £1131.90 Balance at 22/03/2009 is £650!

Overdraft - at its worst £1007 Balance now is ZERO!! It's totally paid off
    yahoo.gif

Personal Loan - was £6973.73 Balance at 22/03/2009 is £6742.21!

I have also set up my first emergency fund, which has had £117 paid into it this month alone!

    *****

So, since I joined MSE as a proper DFW, and most importantly since I joined the Payment A Day thread, I have paid off a total of £1837.42. Holy carp
    fish.gif

The loan figures are annoying me, as I know I am paying £128 per month on this, and should therefore have cleared almost £500, but the interest is added on monthly. It's calculated at the start of the term though, so would be the same even if I made an overpayment on it. Which I amn't doing at present. My plan is to keep paying into my Emergency Fund in case of redundancy and if all goes well and I keep my job I will pay it off a few years early.

    Plans for next month

    • I want to bring my total payments made to debt to over £2,000.
    • Barclaycard under £500
    • Add at least another £100 to the Emergency Fund
These are quie hard targets as the Council Tax payments will have started up again, but it is Bonus Month and if I don't use my treats money it's going to PAD.

Right, need to drink more coffee and play some computer games :D

    Morning all!

Quick post from me as I still have to apply make up, eat breakfast, make lunch and wake t'other half.

I thought it was about time I got back in the habit of my morning list-making, so here goes nothing:

    • [strike]Make PAD[/strike][strike]
    • Washing
    • Do some dishes
    • Take out food for dinner
    • Tidy bathroom a bit so plumber has room to work
    • Clean clutter off stairs[/strike]
    • Pay t'other halfs Visa bill for him
    • Sort out Washing Mountain - I have so many clothes which are dry but not put away it's ridiculous
    • [strike]Update budgeteering spreadhseet[/strike]
Right, must dash and apply some slap...

Don't let the Mondays get you :D

:T:T:T well done F_F sounds like you have been doing astoundingly well on clearing those pesky debts. Sounds like you have been a superb budgeteer.

I hope you enjoy your treats, they are well deserved.
