Just wanted to pop in before bed and C&P the following from the Flylady thread - this is what I have done today:

Wednesday Wonders ~ Cruddy Study & Bathrooms
    Level Two
Clean the bath, basins, shower trays and loo's
Degrot the desk and dust and polish the monitor and pc case etc Nope, bad Fresian :o

    Extras
    1. Empty and wash out bins
    2. Clear and wipe a shelf or two
    I have also:

    • Done yet more blooming washing
    • Done the kitchen. Twice.
    • Bandaged t'other half when he was peeling the tatties and the tattie peeler sliced through his nail
    • Changed cat litter
    • Put away some washing
    • Cleaned bathroom mirrors
    • Done overtime at work before coming home
    • Found new drawer for dusters as I now have so many clean dishcloths I need another drawer for dusters :rotfl:
Now, I have only done half an hour of overtime today and 45 minutes yesterday, but that will be over a tenner (before tax) to me anyway. Hopefully I will make it into work a little early tomorrow so I can do more overtime before I go out for dinner with my friend. I must remember to print off the voucher for Zizzi before I go - and I need to *ssh* do this at work as I don't have a working printer at home.

I am also thinking of doing a couple of hours overtime on Friday before I go on holiday as there are no guarantees that there will be overtime available when I come back, but I have a lot of housework, packing and other stuff to get done. Decisions, decisions!

I'm off to bed now anyway.

    Night all :D

I had a look at the flylady thread the other day. I haven't signed up to it as i know i wouldn't keep up with posting. I am going to do some lists tho to keep me focused. After reading it i attacked my kitchen with vigour cleaning shelves and windows amongst other things. Talk about a motivating thread!!

Hope you have a good time with your friend tonight x

I signed up because I like to think that The People Of The Internet are watching me sternly when I promise to do something (ref: PAD, Weekly Spend Challenge, Grocery Challenge!!) I like a Challenge I do!

A lot of the lists don't always apply to me - I may be quite skanky for saying this, but I'm too useless to change bedding every week (Fortnightly is about as good as I get) and HATE hoovering, so ignore all requests to do this. That is what t'other half does :D The lists also ask you to wash your windows more often than I feel is normal :rotfl:

What I have found is that the thread is really motivating. My other half must think I have gone mad, but he's liking the newly shiny house we have. He wasn't allowed in the bathroom for hours yesterday as I had used so much Cillit Bang and he has a bit of a bleach allergy :rotfl:

Right, must dash and dust the living room before jumping in the shower to try and make it into work early to do some overtime. I bet I end up sitting on here for another hour and scrambling to get in on time :D

    Have a good day!

lol FF I hate hoovering as well! Awful job! I find that I am more motivated than the b/f when it comes to housework - it works in my favour though because it means I get to do the jobs I don't mind, like ironing, washing up etc - then I am entitled to whinge at him to take the bins out and do the hoovering!!

Hope things are good with everyone here :-)

    Hi pointy! :hello:

I have been trying to keep on top of the cleaning this week but failed due to doing loads of overtime. Not helped by t'other half it has to be said. I left him a list yesterday which consisted of - dishes (tiny amount) do some washing and phone the credit card folk. He did none of it :rotfl:

Today my plans for Flying consist of nothing more than a quick tidy before we go away tomorrow. I'm not going to miss the forums too much as I won't be around this weekend. I am hoping my friends have left us the password for their computer though as I don't want to miss any good MSE gossip!!

    Evening all,

Not long now until the forums die  so I thought I would put through a quick update before we are removed from MSE. Most of the threads I visit are instigating some kind of Facebook/forum contingency plan which is quite hilarious. T'other half is accusing me of being an MSE addict :D

I have had a looooooong day at work which was pretty pants tbh, but it's over now and I'M OFFICIALLY ON HOLIDAY YEEEEEEHAAAAA!!! We go Up North tomorrow for about a week, and I have left flatmate with instructions on how not to kill our cats. All should be well.

Have a lovely weekend everyone, and I will be on as soon as I can.
