I sometimes forget that I'm broadcasting to foreign shores and may need translating!
thanks for the translation! and i probably am less likely to understand regional lingo than lots of your readers, as although i was born in the UK i was whisked over to america with my mum & dad, aged 3, and there i stayed until i was 20. which of course had some great advantages, but also means that no one ever wants me to be on their quiz team as i am rubbish at music questions (we had a lot of the same, but not necessarily at the same time), celebrity questions, tv shows and general brit knowlege.but i call my crisps crisps (not chips, those are from the chippy) and my trunk a boot. and i am a mum, not a mom. what's a boab? xx

Hi f_f aka fantastically frugal!
How's your day been? Due to extreme tiredness, mine's been a bit blurry
Will your bosses let you know whether you will receive the bonus or not or will you have to wait til payday? It is always the 'ground workers' who have to take all the flack and get none of the perks.
Fingers crossed for youOne step at a time0 -
Hi, just wanted to say I haven't been very vocal recently but have been checking in daily. Well done for your payments this week :T
Gonna have a bit of a debt busting day myself tomorrow, and get some stuff sorted. Have a good week

You see? It's not about being all perky and motivated all the time. ThoseI'm quite comfortable with my level of inactivity. I am just being more careful about buying c*ap I don't need.
EXACTLY!
It's amazing how once you take control of your spending, and thinking about where your money is going, how quickly you start making a difference to your debts! I can't believe that in a month i am £1000 closer to being debt free! I've not done ANYTHING extra to make money (which makes what I was spending even scarier!)
My OH has taken a month to get used to our new slimline food budget, but even today he is commenting that we don't waste the food that we used to. We buy what we need, and no extra. It works! I find myself weighing up every purchase. (I wish I could have the conversations with my conscience that F-F does... I think I'm a bit too mean on myself somehow... I don't offer myself an alternative!)
As for keeping a diary... nobody seems to comment on mine, but I don't mind that much anymore, because I can see how far I'm going, and it's motivating me! :T
Keep it up F-F! :jNatwest CC - [STRIKE]£2545[/STRIKE] now £0 :j

Woah, yeah, you're normally up at stupid o'clock in the morning
Hope all is well...maybe you slept in this morning!0 -
Morning all!
I'm aliiiiiiiiive!!
Tomtombeanie - trying to explain what a boab is would hurt my brain and yours. I can't even think of a way to describe what "Help ma boab" would mean :rotfl:
Ooh, Wiki can help though - http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/help_ma_boab
Terri & Laura - Thanks for asking how I am! In truth, not amazing. Work is quite bad at the moment - I'm really busy and because of working for a bank it's quite unsettling at the moment, rumours of disaster abound. My daily challenge to myself has been to get through the days, no more, no lesswhich is why the lists haven't gone up. Fear not though! I'm not off the DFW wagon, and have been behaving myself as ever in terms of spends and so on.
Today is my monthly night out with some former colleagues though - we go for a cheap dinner every month, and it's usually great fun. Happy thoughts!
Happy Hump Day!

thanks for the link, fresian - i consider myself enlightened!
hope you can find a way for your work situation to not get you downi know from experience that there's nothing worse than having to drag yourself into a place with low morale day after day and it must be so worrying to be unsettled. have a lovely outing with your old friends xx

Urgh, have woekn up this morning with a huge lump in my throat, I think I have the coldyflu that's been going around. It hurts to swallow (I can't even drink my coffee!)
I've been awake on and off since 4am, which isn't too nice either...
But, needs must and I have lots to do at work, so off I go like a good little soldier...I must be mental :rotfl: If I still feel poo tomorrow though I will reevaluate the situation.
Some things to cheer me:
- Overdraft Begone fund is now sitting at £56 (£209 outstanding)
- Barclaycard is sitting at a balance of £680 and I aimed to have this under £650 by next payday (End of March) so that's nicely on target
