me and the OH were relying on the shares last year (june) to bail us out
but coz of share prices me and all our friends are holding fire
i did the 38ps too, so watching share prices like a hawk lol
Urgh, tell me about it. I just signed in to online banking, so non-bank-which-shall-not-be-named workers can see how it affected us.

I had shares amounting to £2917.62 in total (when they were issued to us as incentives, we had to wait until they could be cashed in) The current value of these is £195.65.

I know people who have lost their retirement savings with this collapse, as we were always told "put your money in shares" by people who had made a fortune - the same ones who are now in the same boat as us  We're not the only ones by any means, but when you're low-paid staff who are told to consider your shares as part of the "Reward" you're given, it's hard to swallow.

Anyhoo, enough bankyrants, anyone got any more doughnuts? :D

    Mortgage-free Glee!
We could do a re-run of the Fully Monty scene down at the job (or no-jobs) centre.

I've got my work for the past 15 years through sites like jobserve. One of the agents was telling me that they are currently receiving between 400 and 600 applications for every project manager post going up. That is beyond scarey.

Hope things continue to go well for you F_F. I shall think happy, non-lightning thoughts for you.

*gleeful in the knowledge that Freddy Flintoff is usually p*ssed, f_f jumps like a baby gazelle (albeit with a fat @ss) and catches the doughnut in her mouth and swallows it whole*

    :D

    I like this game!

Hahaha brilliant! I'm usually beyond rubbish at catching anything (apart from colds) but if someone was aiming doughnuts at me, I'd give it a good go!!

Maybe not as graceful as a baby gazelle though......maybe a baby elephant?

    ;)
