  • Hi guys,
Just wondering how you're all getting on with the plan, it'd be great to hear from you all!
    Goldi xxx
  • Well I have been on the diet for just over 2 months, I've lost in total around 2st 7lbs :T and still more to come off, it feels great with the weight off.

Its the only diet I have been able to do well and be able to stick to it, I haven't stopped myself from being able to enjoy little meals out, which yes have been a little naughty :A but I'm happy with the loss so far.

I now have a new goal which is my wedding next April that I want to lose the rest for. Anyone thinking of doing this, go a head there is nothing to lose.
  • Hello everyone, I thought I'd drop by here after weeks away from the board. I've lost 22lbs since I started the diet in May but have struggled the last 8 weeks as I've started a new job. Lots of new and interesting work colleagues have invited me to lunch and I was too new and nervous to go along with my soup (and there didn't seem to be any kettles as it's all staff canteens etc). Added to that a poorly husband and me trying to keep on top of the house and not having the time to get the products and well, safe to say it's been a bit of a disaster! I ended up gaining 6lbs.
I am so disappointed as I got my BMI down from 33 to 28.5 so I qualify for IVF on the NHS.
Well I hereby announce that I am back on track - I have a delivery of CS for the week until pay day when I can get to my nearest Rowlands and stock up until the end of October. I'm going to stick to the diet until then - I've done it already so I know I can do it again, I just have to avoid the nice pastries in the coffee shop at work and lay off the Haribo Tangtastics :) I also hope it helps you KatieCub to know that even an 'old timer' on the diet gets it wrong sometimes too!
Dieting for IVF, proud of my curves but not the wobbly bits!
  • Hey - I'm about to order some of these shakes after reading about them on here - I was Lc-ing but kind of blew it on holiday so I can manage to do the evening meals ok - just have to cold turkey my bread addiction - LOL

Anway I was looking at the mens shakes and their flavours are so much yummier looking - just wondering if would be ok to have the odd one of the mens instead - just thinking about toffee crunch or banana smoothie - yummmm!

I think I remember reading that if you have a LOT to lose (and you are a woman!) they recommend you start on the mens packs - it just works out to be a higher carb/wotsit ratio than the womens ones, so it will just be a little slower. (in other words - I dont think it matters if its the odd one or two - but it will slow you down a little. To be honest - when I was on it before, I started cheating quite a bit (also have a HUGE bread addiction!) and was still losing, just only 1 or 2 pounds a week rather than a lot like I had been - and I was still happy with that!!) I CANT WAIT to finish this golower program that Im currently wasting my time and money with - I cant stomach any more of the soups (except the pea and ham!) though the evening meals and the brekkie are ok, I want to go back onto CS !!!

Are the new flavours and bars available in the shops yet??

    Hi everyone!

Have just come across this thread and am very intrigued by it.

I have not read all the posts so I apologise if I am asking questions already answered.

I have a LOT of weight to lose and know I am seriously endagering my health if I carry on like this also I really want another baby but wont even contemplate it at this weight.

The main question obviously is does it work? I know as with other diets you have to stick to it but is it easy to stick to?

Also I am a bit worried about the cost-things are tight as it is, how is everyone finding it in that respect?

I feel I need to try something like this to at least give me a good kick start-I know about eating healthy and exercising but if it was as easy as that I wouldn't be this weight, also the fact there is a support thread is brilliant.

Would love to hear everyones success stories and again I apologise if you are repeating yourself.

    Thank you so much.

    Teenie x

Well I have gone for it-went out and bought my starter pack today and I'm really keen to start tomorrow. Is there anyone out there who has been on this for a long time and if so how much weight have you lost?

I have noticed that there are not a lot of posters on any of the CS forums but I intend to keep posting every couple of days even if it is to keep me going.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone x

Well that is my first day on CS nearly over and how did it go? Well I have been hungry most of the day but that has to be expected. I managed to drink 2 litres of water and had a chicken and veg stiry fry for tea yum.

The products themselves are ok, I just found them to be very sweet. I had the Latte milkshake for breakfast and it was delicious but not as satisfying as I thought it would have been. I had the chicken soup for lunch and it was nice but had a sweet kind of taste. Not keen on the bars. I had half for afternoon snack and have just finished the other half but I found it very sweet and leaves a pretty disgusting after taste.

I am a bit disappointed I really wanted the products to be good so I can give this a good go, especially as they are so expensive. I will stick with it just now but if anyone out there has heard of any replacement meals that may be better/cheaper I'd love to hear. I have heard of Avidlite but not sure if this works on the same principle.

Anyway away to drink yet more water and will see how it goes.

    HI Teenie,
Hope it gets better for you! I found at first if I was still hungry after a shake, or just before it's time for another I eat a small slice of chicken or ham (sandwich type). It's low in cals, has no carbs and helps me to feel full.
I agree, was just thinking that this morning, as I reviewed the new flavours, that the shakes were really sweet, but I think it's good in that I don't feel the need for any other sweet treats. I even survived the pmt chocolate cravings this month - I didn't have any!

You should not be hungry on this diet - so says the Aussie site! They have tips on how to beat the hunger. I can't post a link because you have to sign in to view, but there's a thread devoted to being hungry.

I like to have an options or cadbury's diet choc (can't remember what they are called) if I feel the need, again low in carbs and cals and they've not had any bad effects on my weight loss (I don't have them every day). Don't forget sugar free jelly and a little squirt of cream - I have this for pudding and it feels like a nice treat.(am I that sad?)
You mention other CS forums, and I don't know which you've been to, but there's one on minimins.com amd the official one www.celebrityslim.co.uk.
People are always posting on the official one and there are a couple of diaryists on minimins. There is an avidlite thread there too, but I like the taste of CS shakes so I don't feel I need to change - there seem to be a lot of nasty tasting diet shakes out there!:D
You mentioned the cost, and while not a great saving, there are new 10 day packs arriving in the UK soon, which will be £33.99, which will make it a bit cheaper.
Stick with it, I am surprised I've found this so easy, and I hope you manage to persevere. I'll read this thread more now I know someone else is here!

    Good luck CS-ers,
    MrsB.

ETA: I think I've just seen you over on minimins, so you know about them already!

    It's only a game
