how much carbs are you actually allowed to intake is it zilch or what lol have no idea im checking packets n everything for the carbs in it. I've seen Sugar-free flavoured water said nil carbs but is this ok still prob being dumb by asking this?

I need veggie help, I don't know if I had enough veggies with my dinner tonight, I had chicken breast with stir fried veggies which was 1/2 an onion, 2/3 of a green pepper, and a small-medium size carrot, is that ok or is it too much or not enough?

Also I am going to wetherspoons for lunch on saturday and need some ideas of what to have as my sister will probs have ham egg and chips (which I love) so I don't want to get tempted and just have it, so please help me, or shall I just sneak in a meal bar and have that and hope they don't see me eating it?

Star, your plate ratio should be 1/4 protein and 3/4 allowable veg or salad so from the sounds of it you could have had much more veg. On the forums i read that you are allowed 3 cups of allowed veg a day, so you could pretty much fill your plate with that amount. I'm still in week one so am learning as i go along. This thread and the CS forum have been a lifeline for me as tbh the guide in my starter pack was pretty confusing to me.

Day 5 here and so gar i've had a banana and vanilla shake and a chocolate fudge CS bar split between 2 snacks. I didn't manage to get to the butchers today so going to have an omelette again tonight (CS forums seem to suggest eggs twice a week is fine). Have tomatoes, brocolli, cheese, peppers, onion and courgette so it will all be going in there:rotfl:

I'm sure whats on Wetherspoons menu but for example you could have egg and gammon and instead of chips have salad or veg. Or maybe steak and salad? I'd switch your evening meal to lunchtime for that day, then have a shake for that dinner that evening, that way you can enjoy lunch without disrupting your plan.

:Dhi everyone..that day again for me and im pleased to report a 3lb loss this week:j its not been my best week (had another slice of OH s lurverly birthday cake and was trumpeting away all day (think flour does that to me,previously thought it was cooked veggies haha ).

    so week 1 -7lbs
    week 2 -5lbs
week 3 +1lb (ate ,drank and was merry)
week 4 -3lbs (thought it was all gonna catch up on me but didnt:D)

my mum made sunday tea and so that i didnt feel left out she made an old fave of mine which was boiled whole beetroot with a little melted butter and salt n pepper instead of roasters or mash and i thought id suggest it on here as i know i was getting bored of saladso maybe some of you are and it is sooo yum, brought back loads of childhood memorys of pink fingers and stained white tops after watching my kids when they were having theres.

Shaggers:D nice to see you back, hope u had a fab time..did you see neil young?went to see him in aberdeen and couldnt see over the head of some grey haired ole biker, god i felt sooo young haha.

hiya kirkymumof2 ,your limited to 2 glasses of sugar free squash in your first week and the only carbs allowed are in the cs shakes, bars and soups till your 8 weeks r up.(i have had baaaaaaaaad carbs during week 3,wished i hadnt but hey hey what can you say they were yum )

Sukey..get in here chick with your wieght loss..ill pop back in see if uve been in.Ive been really busy all week, the kids r on hols now and the gardens been getting plucked ,preened, painted and all sorts but ill be checkin on ya misses.Good luck.

hiya Ali5,sometime you just have to be nice to yourself and aslong as you got a taste of it before it hit you throat then it was worth it- thats what i say:rotfl:.

hello to all the new faces, plently of support in here and if theres anything your unsure about then take a we trek back through the pages as no doubt its been mentioned before.Good luck .

C l a i r e yes I ate what I wanted, but to be honest I'm not a glutton anyway apart from on those odd 'hungry' days, so I didn't feel the need to go mad. And it helped that I was with someone who doesn't eat much anyway! I had a pork pie, pizza, bruschetta, sandwiches etc, but we walked and climbed so much I swear I burned it all off, same at Glastonbury. If I'd eaten everything in sight for two weeks it may have been a different story....

appletart - yes Neil Young was the highlight for me, even though, before I went, I said that Springers was the only act I was really really interested in. Check out iPlayer as Rockin' in the Free World went on for almost 12 minutes, it was amazing!

To any queries about portionh sizes, I'd say don't get too hung up about it as I was left feeling hungry for the first few days so upped my intake to stave it off rather than succumb to the temptation of stuff I shouldn't be eating. And remember that protein is more filling than fruit and veg - tbh I don't know how some of you are existing on just fruit for snacks, for me it's all about the cheese and ham!

Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend x

    Hi Everyone

I did CS about a month ago and lost..
    Week 1 - 6lbs
    Week 2 - 2lbs
    Week 3 - 2lbs

But just come back on holiday to discover I've gained 6lbs aaarghhh!!

    So here are my stats..
Age 19 (20 next month eeek)
    Height 5ft8
    Weight 12st6lbs

I'm hoping to lose 27lbs.. going on holiday in September and I would be so chuffed to be under 11st.

So first day back on the diet and i've had..
    Breakfast - Chocolate Shake
Snack - Half a CS bar
    Dinner - Fruit Smoothie
    Snack - Tuna
    Tea - Strawberry Shake
Snack - Half a CS bar

I rarely eat tea so i've decided to have a shake for tea and have more of a dinner, hense the smoothie today as it was quick and easy as i'm at work all day.

Everyone seems to be doing really well! My downfall has got to be takeaways, mmm curry! But i'll be keeping my lips sealed for the next few weeks. I'm a !!!!!! for weighing myself everyday too which I must stop doing, so i'm hiding the scales until next week.

    Good Luck to All!

:D:j:jway to go sukes:j:ji am soo chuffed for you:D
i wants a sausage roll now :eek:och twell dinner soon and im having boiled beets again this week (delicious:D) with sirloin ,mushroom and onions.
sorry to put a dinger on ur fab weight loss sukes but no mullerice,i think most yoghurts out the question anyway except a smidgeon of natural now and again with berries or almonds ect,its an aquired taste but i love it.For snack i usually have fruit for one or two snacks a day or almonds or slice of ham or turkey breast with pickle or small bit of beetroot or small hunk of cheese or egg mixed with small dollop of mayo and scooped with red pepper or celery if im particulary peckish.

Shagger ,neil young s 'that old guitar' blows anything out of the water, love springstien and tom petty too though, love born in the usa live version and TPs american girl when im cleaning..love most of their food too...mm smuckers goober grape, marshmallowfluff guess thats where i got my bum from...wont be going back there in a hurry:rotfl:gonna go get dinner organised now seein as ive about drowned keys in saliva.
