Morning all.
Well i've decided im going to hit this diet hard now as had a naughty week and now need to shift it as going on holiday next friday :j
Im going to pick up some of the asda measure up meal bars and snack bars as they are half the price of the celebrity slim ones and look the same as the celebrity slim ones. They also do a big tub of their own shake which you mix with water and its £4 i think and get 10 meals or so out of it. Will let you know how i get on with them.
Me and my mate are going to take a shaker and shakes with us on holiday to have for breakfast as prob wont eat much, just be on the drink and taking in the sun lol.
Hows everyone else getting on with it??
Good luck all and have a great day x x

Hi,
just been doing some research on Celebrity Slim. I had never considered doing it before but a male friend of mine has been doing it for a few weeks and lost over a stone. H is off to France for a week and wanted to go on Atkins when he comes back but I have convinced him to give this a shot and thought I would try it for a few weeks too. I had previously lost nealry 7 stone on WW but put just over 2 back on and can't seem to get it to budge!!! Anyway, going to pop into Rowlands next week and have a look at all thats on offer but I just wondered if anyone could tell me what the allowable snacks and dinner meals should be? i know it will be in the programme guide but Im too impatient!!
Thanks!!!
Hi - I am no means an expert....
Allowable snacks for me are apples, 30g cheese, 30g nuts, a CS snack bar (or half a meal bar) vegetable sticks with cream cheese or cottage cheese.
Dinner meals would roughly equate to a quarter serving or protein (100g raw weight ish) and 3/4 allowable vegetables ie broccoli, grean beans, cauliflower, peppers, tomatoes etc.
eg: Yesterday I had: Banana Shake, 30g almonds, Caramel Shake, 1/2 pot (125g) low fat cottage cheese. Dinner was 6 vegetarian 'meatballs' with a tomato/onion sauce, cauliflower, broccoli, dry roasted onions, peppers and tomatoes and it was delish!
Note that majority of foods are protein rich, so keep you feeling fuller....

Hi all,
Am a newbie that has been searching the best ways to lose weight but have never really had the motivation to do it-till now!
I know that I have never met nor spoken to any of you but I would still like to thank you all because it's because of you that I have decided to take the plunge and get the Celebrity Slim starter pack. I have been reading the posts of your exploits with this diet plan and it has seriously motivated me to do it as well. And I hope that with all of you on the same journey I will be able to look on you all for support when I sometimes falter from the path lol.
Any tips and tricks for this newbie to get properly started on the plan would be much appreciated.
Thank you for your nice words
The best advice I can give is DRINK THE WATER!!!!!!!!!! AT least 2 ltrs everyday. Drives you a little bonkers toddling off to the loo every 5 minutes, but it will keep the stomache working and metabolism up.
Stick to it and it will work... Keep your snacks as protien rich as you can ie cottage cheese, CS snack bar as protien is harder to digest than high carb foods so keeps you fuller for longer.
Watch the fat intake. Keep to 3 tea/coffee per day with/without milk, although cows milk is high in carbs.

Hi Everyone!
It is exciting to see such an active discussion going on here.
I have to confess that I slipped of the diet in a major way. I have all sorts of excuses (death in the family, work stress, course work stress, life in general) but they are just excuses. Basically I let myself down so badly and am pretty much back where I was when I started the CS diet. I was really down about it and went through a phase of being really depressed about it and feeling like a failure. Now, I am back in the right frame of mind to restart and recommit!
Just scared myself silly comparing my measurements to some 1950's ones which was the kick I needed. I have ordered a load of CS stuff and am working on getting my brain into gear for when it arrives.
Really need to start exercising again too so I have dusted the treadmill and found my Tracy Anderson DVD! My intention is to start everything on the same day and to take my weight and measurements weekly to track my progress and see if I am going right or wrong.
Ashamed and embarrassed but here is my starting point (again!!)
Height - 5'2
Weight - 178
Waist - 34 1/2
Way off the 50's standard!
Long post -sorry!!

Hi all. Well i tried the shake made from the asda measure up tub
and  Dont go near it_pale_!!! I had one sip out of the celebrity slim shakes and was nearly sick lol. Its nothing like the celebrity slim sachets. Lets just say its made a nice home in the bin now
The meal replacement bars that asda do are very nice thou. Had the strawberry and yougurt on which was yummy. They also do chocolate toffee ones. The snack bars are yummy aswell.
Hows everyone doing?
Good luck all x0 -
Hi everyone, had a naughty weekend, crisps, wine and cakes. Haven't weighed myself yet but trousers still feel a bit looser than they were but sure I've put something back on. Choccie shake for brekkie and made the Minestrone soup from the CS website for lunch, tweaked it a bit and it was delicious. Steak and veggies for dinner tonight. Might weigh myself tonight to see what I have put back on.0

Ok, so I am ready to go and get on this diet if only the damn pack would arrive already!!!!
Thanks for the tip, DansMum, about drinking a lot of water. I do drink quite a bit anyway. I can drink up to about 2 litres (with some effort) so am hoping that will be enough but if it's more then it looks like I might be up the creek on that one.
I think the pack may arrive tomorrow, so have been trying to satisfy all of my junk food cravings before then so that once I start I am completely focused.
I am going on holiday middle of November so am desperate to lose at least a stone before then, do you guys think this is realistic? I also plan on incorporating my Wii Fit games in with the diet, I'm hoping this will really help to get things moving quicker-good plan, you think?0 -
Hi all, back again
Have been really busy with work and stuff so not been able to come on here as much, but guess what? I've stuck to my plan and even amidst all the madness I've still managed to lose..... ok so only another pound, but nothing gained and now I'm up to 8pounds gone! Whoo Hoo!!!:j
Glad to see you are all doing well. I now you might not feel like you are, having slip-ups and the like, but if you think it's getting darker, colder and all you wanna do is eat and sleep, it makes any diet hard to keep to, Keep going guys we can do it!!
Lilvixen, sorry the ASDA shakes were horrid, but I would just say, that when you look for alternatives, make sure you check the sugar content. Slimfast tends to be pretty bad, hence why so many fail on it. Too much sugar gives you a big rush, then comes the crash! Have you noticed you don't have this happen with CS, no matter what the flavour? Sam goes for the bars, if its too yummie I'd be careful
Rolo- I think anything is possible, just depends how much you have to lose and how much you work at it. Like I'm thinking you'd have to stick to the CS fully and do a bit more than just wii fit to get you to a stone loss in 5weeks, long walks, swimming or even jogging/running.
I'm actually attempting this myself at the moment as have been invited on a trip about that time. We can do it together!
Angel Jenny, welcome back! Don't beat yourself up about what's happened, you are here now and back on track, the only way is forward!
Spaine-- Yes I really like the Cafe Latte ones, which would you like to swap for? Banna, Forest Fruits?
I really like the cookies and cream one, does anyone know if they sell this on its own ? I got in the trail pack from Rowands website.
Good Luck Everyone!!

Ok delicate question...
On Sunday morning I weighed myself and I swear on my life I've stuck to this like glue, and have put on 2lb. BUT then totm started 3 hours later. I waited til yesterday morning and weighed again and I had put on 3lb
I know this is probably pre totm retention but I wish it would go. Anyone else have the same problem?
Meals yesterday were: Cafe Latte shake 8am, 1130am, small apple, 130pm Choc shake, 5pm 1 egg, 730pm 2 quorn fillets with chopped tomatos, cauliflower and green beans, 930pm Cadbury choc option.. (I think I'll cut those out) In addition 3 litres of water + 1 coffee with milk and 2 teas with milk..... Am I doing this wrong?MFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15
