Im thinking of starting CS after a rather excessive holiday! Im gonna see if it can kick start me into some better eating.
Where is the cheapest place, or where do you get your CS from?
Welcome aboard Odette
I find it's cheaper from Superdrug. If you make sure to by something in the shop, you get a code on the reciept for the website and save 10%, bounus!! Shakes/soups are 1.99, at Rowlands they are £2 and the penny does add up when buying 10! I like buying either the selection packs or single sachets, but it's up to you, if you like one flavor loads its cheaper to buy the box of it.
Good luck!

Hiya,
I am starting this tomorrow with my Dad and will possibly become a CS case study, whereby they sponsor me for 8 weeks.
That is not finalised however, and I want to try it for a week before agreeing to this.
I have read through the programme guide, but cannot see how much water to mix with the sachet? Any ideas? Also can you use Skimmed/Semi-Skimmed milk, just water sounds a bit bland- is it as bad as it sounds?
What does everyone do for snacks and stuff during the day?
Any useful tips?

Welcome Tia.
The shakes & soups already have skim-milk powder in them so they are prepared with 200-250mls water. I find them to be yummie on their own, but be aware you might no like all the flavors, I dont like banana. The starter pack is good as it gives you a few of each thing.
As for snacks, in the starter pack you get a guide book and it helps with ideas, but generally fruit, nuts, cheese and veggies/salads.
Have you done anything like this before? I would be tempted to say give it a go, but it just depends how much you are looking to lose I guess...... you will also find it best to workout, it really helps

Mummyto3boys, I lost a total of 3 stone in about 6 months and I am so proud of myself! I'm sure you'll look fab in your swimming costume no matter how much you have lost, just because you have lost weight!!! wish i could go away....really feel like i need a holiday haha
xxxx
Wow three stone in 6 months, that would be my dream!!! lol I need to lose 3 stone and hope to be well on my way by Xmas or at least back into my size 12's!
Have found it really easy to stick to, infact can't believe how easy! Feel as though im eating too much at snack time tho, as for instance one day i will have the 30g of cheese with a little lettuce and cucumber and some balsamic vinegar on top and then for another snack that day i will have 30g of almonds and then my evening snack i will have a muller light - does this sound right as seems alot??? yesterday for one of my snacks i had some strawberries and raspberries with a spoonful of cream - is that allowed?? And for my actual dinner i had a ham salad (huge salad) with about 30g of cheese added (really fancied that lol) dunno if thats allowed or not?!?!
Anyways have weighed myself this morning bearing in mind my actual weigh in day isnt until Thursday as that will be a week and my scales say i have lost 3 1/2 pounds - hoping it wont creep back up again!! lol
PKL - With regards to support systems, my other half is useless lol, I know i have just had a baby but am desperate to get back into shape but it doesnt help when at weekends he goes to McDonalds and brings home big breakfasts and pancakes!!! I didnt even have the tiniest bit!! Then Sat night he gets Kentucky, it smelt so good lol but once again i didnt touch! He said its the weekend, you can have a little treat!! I was like !!!!!! i only started it on Thursday, im not giving in now!!!
So yeah when hes healthy eating its ok, but when hes not he wants me to join him! lol
Odette - I get my CS online at Superdrug as its free delivery if you spend £25 at the moment
Lilvixen - Well done hun on staying the same, are you back on track this week?
Sammy-Wheeler - well done on losing the 4lbs, bet you are thrilled!! Did you change anything around to lose that amount??

Hi everyone :j
'Review-before-you-buy' (sorry, couldn't post a link as I'm a new user) recommends "Leisa's Secret" as a cheaper alternative to Celebrity Slim. Apparently this is 'the biggest selling meal replacement in Australia' where the two companies are 'bitter rivals'.
Leisa's Secret also contains 'Lectithin' which 'helps the body burn fat and break down cholesterol' and I noticed this wasn't in the ingredients for Celebrity Slim. The downside to the Secret range on the other hand is that there are only four flavours to choose from at the moment!
Either option I suppose is quite a big investment, but I'd like to make the right choice. Has anybody tried this other range? I'd love to hear your thoughts...?

hi guys,
sorry i've been a bit rubbish this weekend, things have been rather hectic!!! hope everyone else had a lovely weekend. lilvixen, how did you get on with the weight management capsules? any odd side affects? Might give them a whirl this week myself.
Hi zoe, not sure how you still managed to lose weight even when you were cheating....if i cheated it was a big cheat such as eating a whole big bar of dairy milk!!! Its great to hear that you have lost 10 pounds though, not far off a stone! I'm sure you'll be fine at uni, just remember that binge drinking is NOT good
Welcome to the group any newbies, this forum is really getting quite active now which is very exciting.
Indigo sparkle, unfortunately I have not heard of Leisa's secret so cant really comment. Can you get it in the UK? I have lost loads of weight on Celebrity Slim even without that ingredient, so it cant be that good! The best thing that I would recommend is to just try both of them and see which you prefer. The choice on Celebrity Slim is much better though, so if you like both, this may reduce the likelihood of you getting bored. Its all personal preference though i suppose.
Got a very active week ahead of me as taking my cousin off to uni for the first time....hoping moving all the boxes and carrying them up loads of stairs will give me a lot of exercise (not been to the gym in ages, finding it hard to get motivated!!)
Just wonderful, how did you manage to get sponsored by Celebrity Slim? i would love to have done that!! let us know how you and your dad get on this week.
have a nice day everyone xxx0 -
Morning everyone
Still doing well here, finding the diet really easy and scales said this morning 4.5lb loss and weigh in day isnt until Thursday so its coming off!!! :T
Sammy-Wheeler that made me laugh that you cheated and u lost more, its always the way eh!!
Lilvixen - what are the tablets meant to do?? Any side effects yet?
123zoe123- thats a fab weight loss there in 2 weeks wow! Hope i can match that!! What kinda thing are u having for your snacks and for dinner??
Justwonderful - How did you manage to get sponsered by CS? I would have been up for something like that, would have definitely helped with the motivation i'm sure!
Going to go and weigh myself in Boots tomorrow, i weighed there last Weds morning and was 13 stone, but stuffed my face all day as then started CS on the Thursday. Really hoping they say as much as my scales do if not more!! I can definitely feel a difference already, my tight 14 jeans i can actually do up now and i couldnt last week!!! I could probably wear them as they would stretch a bit once on but not liking the muffin top that goes with them at the moment lol
Hope everyone has a good day
