  • Hi Everyone,

yes its great to have an active forum!! Mummyto3boys to vanilla shakes are lovely aren't they, with a few ice cubes in there, you think your having something naughty :) your snacks sound fine to me, although if i had 30g of cheese, I would often grate it over some salad too. You are able to have the CS snack bars and finish them whole, although i know what you mean about the other bars, half quickly turns in to 3/4 which then becomes "well i might as well finish it now". Did you manage to hold off till 9.30 to have your shake?
Your cravings will pass though, don't worry. Not really sure about the oil to be honest, although there cant be anything wrong with having fry light, so maybe go with that.

Pink kitchen lady, its great that your swimming (has kick started me into going again), im sure your effort will have paid off in your weigh in this week!

maintenance is going great although don't really want to stop having shakes for breakfast, so their well and truly part of the menu. Believe it or not maintenance is harder than losing weight! I can have carbs, but not too many so you don't put the weight on again ahh sometimes its so confusing....bring back low carb days haha

Good luck everyone for the weekend, hope you have a nice couple of days xxxxx
  • Hi ya

Yep managed to hold off until 9.30am, had a choc shake with some ice cubes too and was yummy! Havent had my snack yet but may have the cheese with a little lettuce and cucumber if thats allowed and then have the beef soup for lunch thats in the pack. For tea im gonna grill some chicken but cover it with herbs and spices add a bit of flavour and have that with either salad or veg, think i will make mousakka for the rest of the clan.
I so hope this diet works, was so disheartened with slimming world, cant understand why didnt work this time round when all the other times i have been on it it was working great!
We are taking the boys oh and our new baby girl away in October half term, only one of those sun holiday thingys but its a break for them and i was dreading having to get in a cozzie to take the little uns swimming, but hopefully i might lose a fair bit by then, have got 7 weeks or so til we go.
Really have to get on the treadmill too and do a bit of exercise!

So what kinda thing are you having now your on maintenance? How much weight have you lost in total if you dont mind me asking and how long did it take you?

    xxx

  • glad forum is active again! :) I started CS 5 weeks ago- and have lost 7.6lbs. it was rubbish at first coz i was losing a lb or so a week- but got weighed 2 days ago and lost 4lbs.
for me it was the fact it was time of the month- and also i don't have loads to lose. i started off at 9st13, and wanted to get to 9st- so have 13lbs to lose- so not long to go.
i heard about CS being great to lose loads of weight in first week- i lost 1.6lb and was really disappointed- but stuck with it. and feel great now.
my problem area is my tummy- and have looked pregnant for years- although no baby, just fat haha!

im vegetarian- so most of diet was carbs- sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, jacket pototoes- so i thought it would be really hard.
but it hasnt been- have a shake for breakfast, an apple for snack, soup for lunch, a snack bar for snack, then a plate of salad for tea.
wasn't doing any excercise, but we have just brought a treadmill, so going to try and do loads of there- did 10mins running on it last night- so going to try and keep that up :)

my problem with diets, is that i lose the weight- then put it back on quickly. so am hoping the maintaince will be ok. think i am going to stick with the soups for lunch, because with winter coming they will be nice to keep me warm
Is a married woman!! 23rd July 2011 Best day of my life!

  • Hi all. Got weight this morning and was shocked to find i hadn't put any on :j
Quite happy as had a very naughty week to celebrate loosing stone. Opps. May of included a fry up and a cheeky chinese and maybe a kebab haha.
I want to loose about another stone then i will be happy. Want to get to 9 and half stone :)
Still waiting for celebrity slim fat tablets but hoping they come tomorrow.
My biggest weakness is chocolate and at this moment in time im very tempted by a bag of magic stars but they wont get the better of me i keep telling myself lol. So im having cherries and berries squash instead!
Good luck all newbies and everyone else :T

  • Welcome Sammy_wheeler! Its great to see that were gaining new members every day:) That's great weight loss so far especially as you haven't had that much to lose. I'm now down to 9 stone and my losses kept on getting less and less as i reached my target weight. You'll get there in no time. congratulations on your wedding!! Is he being supportive of your weight loss?
I've been on maintenance for a few weeks now and haven't put on any weight, so you should also find it a breeze. The best thing to do is to add the carbs back in slowly and not to get too excited!!!

Mummyto3boys, I lost a total of 3 stone in about 6 months and I am so proud of myself! I'm sure you'll look fab in your swimming costume no matter how much you have lost, just because you have lost weight!!! wish i could go away....really feel like i need a holiday haha

  • well done lilvixen.....didnt see your post until just now. Bring on a fresh week of weight loss and being good xx
  • Hi everyone :)

Back from a marathon day out! Not sure how I managed it, but got to 3 different town, got my shakes/soups (£20's worth) from Superdrug-- and another 10% voucher for the website :money:, toured about a castle and a pottery place, had lunch with OH and still made it home by 5pm, having left about 11:30, we were motoring lol.

Allie- I'm in love with swimming right now! It's like the only sport I can do and enjoy, so I'm sticking with it. I've manged to lose what I'd gained, so fingers crossed I can at least drop 1more pound by monday. Can't get in the pool today as it 'had to be shut due to unforseen circumstance' wonder what THAT means and what I've been swimming in lol
Hope everyone has a good weekend and enjoyed the sunshine, I
    know I did hee hee.

PS If you are feeling a bit down or chilled as the dark/cool nights come along, try having the chocolate or mintchocolate shakes with warm/hot water-- yum and yum! :D

Hi Littleminx, I've just checked the packets and they contain DO contain wheat. I'm not sure if they have any meal replacement programs that would be gluten/wheat free......

Now I'm on here, just thought I would ask: What are your support systems like? OH is pretty good, but mates and that haven't been told I'm on CS. They mean well, mostly, but either suggest take-aways too often or if aware I'm doing something 'healthy' ask for updates constantly. How do you handle it?
