Hi Teenie D!
Whenever I am stressed or tired or sad I eat! At the moment I think "well I am stressed out so I deserve......." Not good! I just hate the idea that I am slipping back into my old ways although at least I recognise what I am doing. The next step is fixing it!
Posting more here is a good idea, hopefully it will make me more accountable!
It is expensive but it works. I don't know why it seems so hard now compared to in the beginning! I am also trying to learn to run on the treadmill and doing the Tracy Anderson exercise DVD. :j
I would love to get to my ideal healthy weight. I don't want to be skinny, I want to be fit and healthy.

Hey guys, another CS-er here! I've been lurking for the past few weeks and have decided to take the plunge and post my results so far with CS.
Start weight: 15st 9.5lbs
Week #1: 14st 10lbs (yes, I lost 13.5lbs! I was absolutely bouncing off the walls that day!)
Week #2: 14st 7.5lbs (2.5lbs gone, have to admit I was a little disappointed after the HUGE weight loss last week, but I have since thought about it and I suppose it makes sense - they do say you tend not to lose as much in your 2nd week)
My official weigh-in for Week #3 is on Monday morning, although I had a cheeky look this morning and I'm 14st 3.5lbs :j
I absolutely love this diet so far and it feels ridiculously easy! I lost 4 and a half stone with WeightWatchers a couple of years ago, but it's slowly crept back on due to various factors and it was getting me really down. I was on some medication which increased my appetite massively and between November '09-February '10 I gained 2 stone, which was frightening! I got the medication changed and decided I wanted radical measures to tackle my weight gain. All my clothes were tight and I felt massive, to the point where I didn't even want to leave the house because I was so embarrassed
But I've been following this diet to the letter and that's me lost 20lbs in less than 3 weeks so I'm over the moon!
My favorite products so far:
Mint Choc Crunch snack bars - so yummy! I've been getting through loads of these:o
Caffe Latte, Vanilla and Chocolate shakes
Choc Caramel meal bars
I tried the chicken soup and it was yucky, which has put me off trying any of the other soups! And I'm not massively keen on the fruity shakes (banana, strawberry etc), but that's probably because I'm not keen on fruit-flavoured stuff in general, it always tastes fake to me. But even then I can still drink them so it's all good
Symptoms-wise, in my first week I had the dull headache for a couple of days, which cleared up and hasn't been back since. I haven't really suffered from any constipation, but I've been taking the fibre sachets (about 4-5 a week) in my shakes as a precautionary measure. I struggle to drink the 2ltrs of water every day, but I'm getting there!
One thing I have to say about this diet is if you can get past the hunger in the first week or so it totally vanishes - well, it did for me! I've been eating relatively little compared to what I was eating a month ago (I worked it out at around 1300 cals per day - I was eating around 4000 at my biggest!) but I haven't felt any hunger in the past two weeks. This is probably also partly due to the fact I've been snacking every 2-3 hours like they recommend.
Overall I'm feeling healthier than I have in a good few months and my family and people at work are starting to comment on my weight loss already which is so exciting.
The cost of it all is a bit yikes, but I'm finding it a motivating factor when it comes to temptations - I can't afford to waste the money!
Apologies for the essay post, but I'm so enthusiastic about this diet I couldn't keep it in any longer
It's been great reading all your posts so please keep posting, this thread is partly the reason why I chose CS!

Lovely to hear so many people doing so well still - and welcome to the newbies !!!
Special hug for you two Angel Jenny and TeenyD - you two have been fantastic at helping me (wihtout even knowing you have done it!!) I hope I can return the favour sometime...
Right - Im back!!!!! Im sort of in the right place in my head to re-start, had a major wobble, but I think Im over it now.... so - Sunday is going to be my new start day - and I have to be honest - its till easter - after easter, my mum and I are planning to be going over to "pig to twig", which is still low carb - just not shakes. Think I shall still keep hold of some shakes as well though - im not really a breakfasty person, and a shake is much easier to cope with in the mornings !!!
xxDo not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Stargirl that is fantastic well done :j. I was like you-really enthusiastic about the diet but as I said above I have been struggling since Xmas-just think I need to get back to basics again. It does work but you really have to be strict-I obviously am not as strict as i used to be. I am not putting any weight on i just seem to be in limbo at the mo (which I suppose is a good thing?)
I like most of the soups especially mulligatawny but I know a few people who don't like them. Just bought a box of choc orange which i am enjoying for a wee change-also bought a box of the mixed ones but I have found I have really gone of the strawberry one and that used to be my favourite-funny how your tastebuds change!
Reading your post has just given me the enthusiasm to get back onto it PROPERLY again-no more cheating!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Hi everyone, my name is Debs and am on day 2 of cs.
I have started the diet because I have my brother in laws wedding in May to attend and am also going on holiday to Tunisia in July, so wanted to lose some weight before the wedding and my holiday.
I weigh 10 stone 6lbs (starting weight) and want to become about 8 and a half to 9 stone.
I was food shopping today and found it very hard not to pick up the usual bread, potatoes, pasta etc. Took a list of what I can eat and found that helped me a lot because I wasnt looking at stuff thinking "well I could maybe have that or this " etc etc. It kept me from buying stuff that would be no good for the diet.
I am really inspired by all the weight people have lost , Well Done !! Hopefully I can do the same !!!!! .

Hello
Fell off the wagon at the weekend! I was away and couldn't resist food yesterday.
I was doing well until Sunday but then it went seriously wrong and I decided to have a pigout day.
I think because I am just two pounds off target, I felt vindicated. However, I am back on board today and hoping to negate the day of indiscriminate eating by weigh-in day on Wednesday....fingers crossed x0 -
Hi Guys,
Still plodding along on CS, really not motivated at the moment, still really stuggling with constipation, so that is bringing me down quite a bit.
Still have only lost 5lbs, so I am going to start exercising this week and hopefully that will help me budge a few more lbs.

Morning All
Just finished week 3 and overall I've now lost half a stone - yippee
Wk1 - 3.6lb loss
Wk2 - 2.0lb loss
Wk3 - 1.4lb loss
Weekly loss is getting less but I'm happy with the overall amount.
Stepped up the exercise the last two weeks and will continue with at least 30mins daily.
Still weighing daily to see if there is a pattern comparing exercise and meal plans .. :T0 -
Hello everyone! I'm a newbie and have just spent over an hour reading through all the posts! Well done everyone, certainly gives me the motivation to keep going.
I am just finishing my first week and have lost 12lbs!!! I can't quite believe it but I am obviously really pleased, i think the extra exercise has really made a difference (also dog walking and mucking out my horses must help). I have been trying to do at least 15 mins on the treadmill first thing and then again at night. Health wise i feel better than ever, i suffer from IBS and feel the trigger must be linked with bread/pasta as it has nearly vanished after a week of cutting these out. The first few days were REALLY hard and i am still struggling to drink the recommended amount of water, the people at work must think i have a urinary infection i run to the loo that much! I did feel hungry most of the time during the first two days but that has now passed and i definately have more energy.
Another problem i am having is hunger at night, i would usually have a packet of crisps but now have a cup of tea or a small cube of cheese which helps. I haven't tried any of the snack bars yet but have just ordered the apple crumble ones, they look great. Tried the coutry beef soup and did not enjoy that much so sticking to the shakes, tend to have the fruity ones in the morning and the sweeter ones in the afternoon when i would usually reach for chocolate! The vanilla ones tastes like ice cream, yummy! i wonder if they freeze? Would love to try it??
I started at 11 stone 12lbs and i want to get back down to 9 stone. (I am 5'4'') I expect the weight loss to slow down dramatically in week 2 but as long as it keeps going in the right direction that is fine by me
Nice to meet everyone
Cat x0
