Rang up council tax office to change to paying by credit card (so I could get Tesco clubcard points) but it turned out it woudn't be worth doing as they charge an admin fee for credit card payments which would be more than the points

Rang up the bank last night and OP £215 for March (£75 free council tax month, £40 can cancelled gym membership, £5 bank interest, £95 left over food budget (although really it should have been £90)

Whilst on the phone increased my payment to £300/month (OP £113). First payment will be April (unless the interest rate changes again  )

Spent some cash at the weekend so another £2 coin for the pot

I'm not being a MFW this weekend as I'm going away for the whole weekend to eat, drink and be merry, up North

I'm blaming Martin for closing the forum

    Thanks evab

Feeling a bit annoyed, meant to write a cheque for my ISA tonight so I could pay it in at the cash point on Monday night on my way home

Oh well, have to pay it in during the week plus I need to pick up holiday money so can do both things at the same time

Another wild weekend, cinema (boyfriend paid), 10 pin bowling (but paid with Tesco clubcard points) and Chester Zoo, then fish and chips for tea (treated mum and dad)

Have less than 3 weeks now to holiday and have so much to do, that I really should go home and write a huge list of things to do but its much more fun being with the boyfriend

On a plus point have order some stuff for his birthday so that is sorted, and also order a new part for my Dyson on-line

Its just spend, spend , spend, spend

Hooray for payday on the 15th then must knuckle down again :rotfl:

Great diary, Radish. We have a very similar amount left on our mortgages so I'll be keeping an eye on you. I'm getting married later in the year and we're seriously considering moving to somewhere bigger with better local schools so won't be able to chuck quite as much at it as you can but will do my best to sort of keep up! :D

    Good luck,

Courgette (oh look, we're both vegetables too!!! :rotfl:)

Thanks courgette (we can make a nice salad together, only need to find lettuce, cucumber etc on the forum :rotfl:)

I'm going to find your diary and keep my eye on you as well. I hoping to move in with boyfriend at some point next year so mortgage will increase  but hoping with all the tips on here and learning how to OP we can both reduce the joint mortgage

Boyfriend reads my diary and is thinking of OP his mortgage as well this year

Finally wrote cheque and paid into ISA last night, a huge £1800 so thats 50% full and its still only April (how chuffed am I :j)

well done on your progress congratani02.gifurl%5D
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hello all, hope you are all keeping well and enjoyed the lovely sunshine last weekend

Spent the weekend at home in the sun last week, so tackled the gardens until the recycling bin was full. Oh how I ached Monday morning

Also attacked the spare bedroom, room emptied, wallpaper stripped, minging carpet to tip, ceiling painted and new light fitted

Tried to motivate myself during the week, but its been so busy at work only managed to gloss the curtain rail and window sill. Started on the skirting boards but was so hungry I gave up and made my tea

Got mortgage statement as well this week , I'm sad to say I was quite excited opening it, not under the 30K as I hoped but close enough that it will be in May, since last statement in April 08 6K off the balance

Then after the excitement, got annoyed that without the OP's the balance after the interest was added was only reduced by £900

    So even more determined now..................

But big pat on the back for me, I have lost over 1 stone in weight, long way to go but first target done
