Pammy - both mine and BF houses have now been on for 12 months but don't let that dis-hearten you, my friends house went in 1 week of being up for sale

Plus once they sell, the mortgage balance will be going up :rotfl:

TYO as much as I wish you well with your DIY and house selling I will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous if your sells before mine

Good luck on selling your house, bet it's a little nice coming down stairs the day after the viewing finding everything is spotless.
Also well done on beating down your mortgage mine is 10 times and feels like it will be a life time before I'm in your position.

So the day I've been waiting for all week is finally here and I'm sat at home feeling sorry for myself, what a pants week

Cash point eats my bank card
New window fitted but fitter goes through floor as its rotten in outhouse
    Electrics go off in kitchen
Have spent 3 days having a flannel wash as no electrics, means no boiler which means no shower
Toilet has started sounding like an elephant when you flush
Found bedroom socket had been wired up with live going to earth, trying to work out how I haven't been killed
Think I have to go back to the USA for work

Had a viewing :T, who liked the house but their buying it for family and they are not over for a few weeks to have a look so will have to continue to be tidy

Plus point BF has just arrived (scaring me to death) and is now on the phone to his dad talking through my fuse board.

So I'm left wondering where all my get up and go, has gone, feel drained and have no fight left in me. Poor BF has had the "I'm a girl" card played on him as feel like I just want to be looked after

Think this is definitely going on the "Reasons why sometimes living on your own is rubbish"

  • Aw Radish :(
Sometimes I think houses were just invented to break and steal money!
Sometimes too the "Im a girl" card is completely legitimate! ;) BF will have his days where he pulls his "Im a boy I cant possibly wash up/tidy/insert chores here"
Yay on the positive viewing will be keeping fingers and toes crossed for when they come back!
Hope the electrics get sorted quickly and safely for ya
perhaps a friday nite wine would help?
