Rang the EA but they hadn't heard anything, so carried on with the cleaning last night so house once more clean again.

Just need to "spring clean" the gardens as they are a mess, thinking weekend at home is required with no rain

No weight lost this week either :( even after our big walk

Chin up hun :) Have you tried measuring yourself to see if your toning up rather than losing weight? Some people find it really motivating but I was always too lazy to measure myself regularly!
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

I usually go off my clothes getting baggier as I can now get my jeans on without undoing them (pity they are a size 18) see how I go this week, hoping my mammoth house cleaning sessions have burned of some calories

EA have rung, I have a viewing Sunday at 12, so need to crack on with the gardens, but not tonight

Chilling out on the sofa with a brew after what seems like a weekend of torture

Gardens have been attacked, recycle bin full to the brim and its not a big garden. Can't sit down as bum muscles are aching, as its a big bum I'm guessing that my muscles are huge (its not fat honest)

Viewer (and two adorable children) has been and is coming back Tuesday for a 2nd viewing with his wife, so hopefully all the pain will be worth it, but at least I have a super clean house (who knew you could use the vacuum twice in 1 week) and a garden that is not just full of weeds. I even bought some plants, mum has since told me over the phone that I have put them all in the wrong place, which seems odd as I can't remember what I bought

Best of all I have a rotary washing line again, after a quick dash to the DIY shop late Saturday to buy some ready mix concrete, why do builders have to put all the bricks etc under the lawn where you want to drive a spike in, so washing is on line

Mortgage statement arrived, if I could remember were I had tidied it away to I would type the figure here, but it was £17,xxx at the 31/03/11 so not far off what my spreadsheet says I think

Booked a weekend away (Royal wedding one) to Derby, not to far to drive and quite a bit around the area to do. The winning factor was "Its the real ale center of England" so will have to do lots of walking to justify a few pints

  • Hey Radish
sounds like a positive weekend if hard work! ;) fingers crossed for the 2nd viewing for you - I am thinking good house-selling vibes esp as we hope to have mine on the market by the middle of may! just the painting and laying new floor/carpet to be done in the next 3 weeks! :rotfl:

Ooo weekend away sounds nice - as does real ale! ;)

ps thanks for the tips about the demotivator ..... duly noted and printed off this morning! :)

:( Sob no one likes my house, had another couple viewing on Tuesday night

Couple 1 - lovely house but garden not big enough (they do have 2 small children so cant argue with that)

Couple 2 - lovely house but not the right area for them (they are incredibly young so are at the party party stage of life so can't argue with that either)

So back to waiting around in a very tidy house

It was mine and house's 10th anniversary together on Wednesday, can't believe we have been together so long, even though I'm doing my best to divorce it and have another house on the side at the weekends

So paid another £1K off the mortgage to celebrate, so that's all the overtime money from my trip to Mexico gone, so I'm now in the £15xxx's (just) :). Spreadsheet updated as it was 65p out in favour of the bank boo hiss and also noticed that the bank has the wrong start date for my mortgage they think it started in Jan not April, so have queried that with them

    Hi Radish,

Just read the most recent updates to your diary and I am very envious of you for two things.

1/ Mortgage in the £15,xxx is amazing as are your overpayments so far.
2/ Tidy house (I keep trying but the dust is winning).

A buyer will come along soon, don't lose heart.

    Cheers guys

One more day at work and then I'm free for 5 days, taking the Tuesday off as well so extra long weekend and a bonus of another 3 day week next week. Work is really annoying being blamed for things that might not have anything to do with me, but the only way to prove it is to solve the problems. Had to join a conference call last night at 10 pm to the states to tell them what to do

Had a letter from Santander that they have released my ISA money to the Halifax so lots of lovely interest can be earned still dithering about taking some out and paying it off the mortgage

And lost a 1lb this week so have now lost a 1 1/2 stone, work pants feel really big this week which is a bit weird like I have lost all the weight in 1 week (if only)

Just popping in to say hi. wishing you luck on the sale. How long has it been on the market? Its a worrying prospect. Do you have a house you have an eye on? or put an offer on (only read this page lol)
I dont know how I am going to keep my house spotless with the kiddies!
Am soo jealous of your mortgage balance! :D

ETA - just read back a bit, its really disheartening to see houses on for months. I dont know how I am going to cope!
