Back from business trip abroad, what a long week away that was, feel so tired that I went to bed Friday night at 8.30. Just have to see how much I can remember when I'm back at work tomorrow. More importantly will be to get expenses signed off so they get paid into my bank account before the credit card bill get paid

Need to ring my mum as well a she mentioned my dads op on Friday but i can't remember what she said with being so tired

Also broke my no alcohol and had a few beers (3) whilst away, plus feel like I have eaten loads of food and not looking forward to getting on the scales tomorrow :)

Haven't done anything money wise, BF made an OP yesterday but wouldn't add an extra £400 to the amount, this would have taken him to sub £40K but he doesn't seem that bothered about being in his 30's

Also the viewer last weekend didn't turn up (she got confused about which houses she was seeing) so all the waiting in annoyed me slightly, feel like we will never sell both houses :(

Plus the holiday we booked in the lakes has all gone belly up, letter from the hotel saying that they are full that week and can only fit us in for 3 days. Rang and protested my annoyance but then the manger never rang me back. BF wants to cancel it now as he thinks they will spit in our breakfast after I made a big fuss

But apart from that everything is fine :T

Aww sounds like a confessional post there lol, you should allow yourself a treat every now and then as a reward.
Shame about the viewer, I dread the day we come to sell, the thought of people looking around your house and analysing it, (shudders!) On the other hand love looking around houses :) and dream of having a better house one day.

  • Sorry to hear about the viewer and holiday Radish. Shame no - one can have the common decency to pick up the phone and just say - on both counts!

I'd cancel it too - find somewhere else... You're always welcome to my 4 berth caravan chez my drive y'know.... Pop the TV in for you...:p

Pammy - it was a confession, have fallen off the no alcohol until ?? but I did 8 weeks so a good detox plus I think every one else fell off the wagon a lot sooner, so I get bragging rights

I have managed to not eat any crisps this year which is the bigger achievment for me

DansMum - you live under cats and they make BF's eyes itch, so it might just be me for the week, no need for the TV as I'll bring a stack of books :)

Another week whizzed by and the sun is out :) just need now for it to be warm in the mornings so I don't have to de-ice the car

Been told I have to go to Mexico on my own, so now thinking of reasons not to go as think it will be a big waste of time and not very productive and the more I hear about the project the more reasons I can think of not going yet.

No OP been made, but expense form has been signed off at work, so that will go in before the credit card bill, then I can work out how much spare there is to pay off the mortgage. Annual statement is due the end of March so it would be good to see it at £18,xxx on the statement. I have also forgot about the no council tax months but will use that money for BF's birthday

Hotel has "had a cancellation" so we can now stay the full 4 nights that we booked in the Lakes, so think that is a success story

Have still not eaten any crisps this year and have also manged to take dinner into work every day this year, decided to see if I can stick to £20/week on food. Average so far is £21 (even with 1 week at £0 due to being away) but I have bought some stuff that was on offer, so no tea-bags needed for the rest of the year

Nearly at the 1 stone weight loss, so need to make sure I carry on as I always seem to think that 1 stone is enough and forget about the other 3

    Happy days x

Can't get out of going to Mexico :( but there is a small glimmer of hope that the travel form still hasn't been signed off by management. To save costs I have to fly out on the Saturday so I'll get to spend a day in the USA with nothing to do apart from catch up on missing sleep.

No OP's on my mortgage but BF seems to be tempted to get into the £30's on his, subtle hints work all the time :) He also has a viewing today and another on Tuesday, so manic house cleaning will be starting shortly. Who knows I might get back from my trip abroad and he's moved in

Visited my mum and dad yesterday, dad looked the best I have seen him for ages, he has put on 6lbs so he's not looking as gaunt, seems that the medicine has slowed his heart down slightly to a more acceptable level :T Dr's are looking at an alternative to having a pacemaker, so that appointment it at the end of the month

Sill no crisps eaten, have lost 15lbs, managed another week taking dinners into work every day, and food shopping this week £9.97 :rotfl: so will bring the average down.

Pay day on Tuesday, so MUST make an OP to my mortgage as I'm obsessing with getting it under £18K

  • Hey Radish
well done on the OPs and weight loss!! :j:beer: I have given up sweets in an attempt to do the same...we shall see how long I last! but as thats what a lot of my money goes on (boredom shopping) it could be very MSE too!

Glad to hear your dad is looking and feeling bit better, must be very worrying for you all- hope the drs find a solution...

Boo about mexico but at least you get fed and watered there! fingers crossed for boyfriends house viewing too!

I'm sure Mexico won't be all that bad. At least you will see some sunshine and get some free vitamin D.

Well done on the no crisps and you are right, you do get bragging rights about managing to be teetotal for 8 weeks. I don't think i could manage more than one. All in the mindset.

And now you have broken the magic 1 stone marker you will be even more inspired to try again.

I am happy as i have hovered round 3 Ib off all week, and have finally got just below 13st. Now to persuade a few more pounds they need to vacate. ;)

Mexico wont be that bad once I get over the jet lag, so having the extra day will help, and there are some bonus

Free sun, free food, free drinks, some overtime, not bonus's are 2 weekends ruined and not seeing BF

I'm currently hovering over booking a holiday to Cuba in Sept..........

BF in his wisdom is cleaning the car, haven't the heart to tell him that it is the house that is up for sale not the car. Bet he doesn't clean mine :rotfl:
