I love the fact that you all think I'm busy, must hide that big pile of ironing and wipe the dust of the hoover. If the EA rings with a "viewing" I would need a day to clean up

Have nearly completed letters to friends, typed them up at work , well all the stuff that I would tell them all, so just need a little bit about them in each letter to make it more personal and they can go on the post.

I will be going to Germany for work in Feb, not booked it yet though, spent today trying to find flights that are cheap and fly at sociable hours since woman alone in foreign country. Not even thought about hotels yet, so will google the area and see whats around.

Not heard from BF so I assuming that there is no news about house, should find out tonight................

Spoke to BF, they are looking at another 4 houses, so no decision before the end of the month at least. They have also asked for the HIP report and a copy of the leasehold

Week 3 done and dusted, and my did this one just fly by

Work was torturous, far to much to do in a week but we got there, somehow, though I'm not happy that 1 member of the team worked through their lunch twice just to get something done. I'm a big believer on sticking to your working times, otherwise people just expect it

Crisps and alcohol free week again, but don't think I have lost any weight, just eaten spicy red cabbage with creamy chicken, that BF has made, it was really nice, kitchen not so nice, but all loaded in the dishwasher now

Have spent the weekend at home, first time in nearly 3 months, seemed strange (and dusty) seeing it in daylight, not done a lot, ironing basket is empty, clean microwave, stripped/washed bed, loaded dishwasher. Think I'll run the hoover round after BF has gone home as I won't have to move his mess

Need to think of some challenges for Feb, even though not finished Jan's list yet but getting there, now think i should have spent this weekend putting the blind back up

I work through my lunch every day but i only work 5 hours but still should get a break. My work load is way above what it should be during winter/spring and i get so stressed about it.
    Do you like working abroad?

If we were allowed to go home early, it wouldn't be so bad but on the other hand if you need to be a bit late 1 day its ok, so it usually all works out in the end, its when people expect you to work through dinner, that annoys me.

I haven't worked abroad for about 3 years due to the recession, its not my favorite thing but its nice staying in hotels and eating out, but I find it really tiring, plus I can't sleep when travelling so end up a sleepy head for the week after. At least this trip is Europe, USA might be in March

That is true, its nice to not feel too guilty to ask to come in a bit later one day or leave early but I rarely do and I usually get there 15 mins before and leave half hour late. Only this time I am asking for the money lol

too true about sticking to working times the more you do the more people expect you to do, about 12 months ago I changed my hours from doing four 7.5 hour days to doing five 6 hour days in the run up to my daughter starting school, the problem is people expect me to do the same in a 6 hour day as I did in the full days I used to do, its only when we count up our contacts every month and the rest of the team realise that I do the same if not more than them yet I do a 7.5 hours a week less. I can only keep it up by doing bits of work at home and never ever having a lunch, its really hard to get out of the situation once you have been doing it.

As for febs targets surely there is nothing else left to do, maybe you could have some fun targets, some things that you just want to do for you. I'm just reading 'eat, pray, love' and I'm just trying to think of things that I want to do - things that will make me happy (without a big pricetag) so far I am drawing a blank, but I am not giving up.

Theres always things to do .................:)

I did start writing a 50 things to do on some website and only got up to about 20, might have to try and find that, can only remember "seeing Eddie Izzard" was one of them and we did that in 2008

Or write a new one and post it on here, so I can refer back to it

And yes you should both claim the hours you work

    Things to make me happy
    Sell house
    Sell BF's house
    Buy house together

Errm can't do anything about the first two so can't do third :rotfl:

  • Still no news on the house sales? ... its hard as people must still want to move surely! or maybe are just staying put now...
Hope something shifts soon, maybe as it moves into spring and people start thinking about new starts...
I wrote a similar list of things to do ..no idea where its gone tho! hopefully not floating about somewhere some of the ideas were a bit silly! :rotfl:
