Last day of the holidays, back to work tomorrow
Last day staying at BF's houseuntil Friday
I've been trying to think what goals I can set for this year, so thinking of using the following topics
January
1. Finance - make a will, since I have been saying this for over an year
2. Family/Friends - write to friends who we met on holiday
3. Health/Happiness - lose 4lbs and get my hair cut
4. Work - de-clutter inbox(30 mins/day) and write a job list each day
5. House - put blind up in downstairs loo, it has now been down for a yearMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

Doh - need to add this to my list too3. Health/Happiness - lose 4lbs and get my hair cut
I don't suppose you have very heavy hair do you - if so you could achieve both at the same time :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

GG - I do, it is very thick hair and hasn't been cut for 10 months, so there must be at least 2lb in weight :j
Just realised I have no idea how much money is in my bank account, think credit card bill will be near £1K (there is money to pay for this) and its 12 days to payday
So starting the year in complete finical controlMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

That's cheating. Though having said that, I've just dehaired my legs and emmmm...... elsewhere....... and reckon I've lost a few pounds myself :rotfl:

Oops. Plus ca change. I on the hand know how exactly how much is in my bank account, but not how I'm going to pay my credit card bill. Like I said, plus ca change :rotfl:.
Never mind. As they said in the war:

I need to do a will and buy a blind for the kitchen. We have said we would make a will since having DS1. We sorted the life insurance but never got any further, although both sides of the family know who would take custody of the kids, we haven't said about much else. It's important so i guess i should mention it again to DH and pensions.0

Back to work - yuck, lovely for about 2 hours as everyone chatted about Christmas and New Year, but then it just dragged. Didn't sleep at all last night for some reason, maybe as I was back on my own, so spent most of the day yawning and trying not to put head on desk for a little snooze
Have done nothing towards my January goals as have just lay on the sofa, since getting in.
So tomorrow will have to be all system go, ring hairdressers and get an appointment, hopefully for Thursday night, then I can pop into the solicitors and ask about wills, especially the cost
Work - looks like I'm going to be given a new 6 month project, which means learning a new skill and some working abroad  Now thinking I shouldn't have moaned as much to my managerMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

Can't believe week 1 is over and done with
Back at BF's house, he is currently tidying up as he/we have a house viewing tomorrow. It is a guy from his work who has been interested for the last 4 months but can only get a mortgage in Jan this year
Been quite good on the healthy eating, no crisp or alcohol
I've had my haircut, only 5 inches chopped off so I now have a chin length bob
Made an appointment for Tuesday night so write my will, so need to decide who gets what. With writing will, registering it on the national database and VAT should be £130 which is less than I thought it would be, but I am a "simple case" followed by "I wish more people your age would think about wills" so I think insult followed by compliment :rotfl:
Work, had meeting and I will be getting more to do, so will write what when it has been announced, hoping this will make me mega busy so the weeks fly by
Had credit card bill, £1078 but I knew it would be about this and it will be paid off in full on the 11th
Checked bank account, more in than I thought but will wait until end of Jan so there are no surprises
Mortgage, if I OP £200, then mortgage will be under £19K by end of Feb. BF has O/P his this week as well so he is under £43K
BF has also installed Office on my shiny new red laptop, so can now write letters and play with spreadsheets at homeMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0
