Dining room table emptied (most of it hidden in cupboard to be sorted at later date) but kitchen/dining room now has the wow factor back

Bathroom has been blitzed - so much I need to regrout some tiles. Spent last night scrubbing gloss paint off the bathroom floor

Mum and Dad have made my gardens actually look like gardens instead of place where weeds live

Haven't completed passport form apart from getting photos and asking manager if its ok to sign them and to bring in his passport number for the form

Carpet not fitted yet as out of stock, but it is expected to be delivered to the warehouse today

:eek:Scary bit - I have booked an Estate agent to come round Monday night for a valuation and run through some things, I need to start jotting down some question to ask him

Told BF last night about the appointment .... watch this space

Forgot with all the other excitement this month I have been paid a full months wage, first time since last June :j. Hooray for money but I am missing the days off

Not sure if by me ringing the Estate agents, if this has encouraged BF, but I'm currently waiting for top soil and lawn to be delivered for the back garden whilst BF has gone to a DIY shop for some bits and pieces

On a plus point he is getting me some pipe clips and a new plug for my sink, which will save me going tomorrow for them

Also carpet fitter rang, carpet will be fitted on Thursday :T can't wait as I'm sick of standing on gripper rods each time I use the stairs. Wondering if this could be called acupuncture, maybe that's why I've been doing stuff lately I have re-energized my chi or something :rotfl:

Top soil and turf duly arrived, so spent the best part of Saturday, shoveling top soil into the wheelbarrow and taking it through to the back garden

BF raked all the top soil it all so it was even, then laid all the turf, it looks so good, an actual garden, if I knew how to post pictures I would so you could all see.

Both of us were in bed last night, fast asleep by about 9.30 as so tired

Aching a bit today, mainly arms from lifting the turf of the pallet but not as bad as I thought, BF just getting some stuff together to take the tip and I should get ready and go home and have a quick tidy up ready for tomorrow night, even though it really only a chat about the process of selling

    Jobs for this week :T

Fit new plug to sink in downstairs toilet
Put up blind in downstairs toilet
Sort out a cupboard/drawer/box under bed
Hoover hall/stairs/landing after new carpet has been fitted
Keep on top of housework after making a huge effort last week

radish you are so efficient, I am feeling a little bit excited and apprehensive for you, eek a valuation:eek:.
Well done on all the progress, we had a digger in our garden 2 years ago to just flatten everything then had to do the laying of the turf, it is such hard work but well worth it because immediately you have a proper garden, you just can't walk on it for a week or two. Hope everything goes well with the valuation, do you think you will go for the maximum you can get or are you more bothered about a quick sale?

I'm not really efficient, I can be a right lazy bum when the moods take, which is usually quite often, just seem to be on role at the moment

We flatten the garden by hand (3 skips worth) I only helped BF fill 1 of them but that was enough. He woudn't pay for the cost of a digger

I think I will put it up for the maximum the EA suggest as long as the price line's up with the two houses for sale in my road, so in theory anyone interested would look at all 3 houses. But I think it will be between £120K and £130K

But I will be prepared to drop, also thinking about maybe paying the stamp duty if its over the limit might help encourage buyers if it works out in my favour

Oh it all feels so scary

Got home yesterday to find mortgage statement had arrived

    Amount left as from 31/03/2010 - £27,215

Daily interest spreadsheet was out by £200 but in my favour, so cleared just under £4K last year :T:T

Also put new plug on sink, did ironing, descled iron, pumice stoned limescale off toilet (the excitment), wrapped BF birthday presents (only have 3 so not much)

This morning I have made bed, washed dishes, wiped down bathroom all before work, keep telling myself estate agent is only coming for a valuation :rotfl:

    Well done :T:T
You will have to keep us posted on the valuation front, it seems like it is all systems go at the moment, this is the exciting bit, imagine what you will be like when you have people round to come and view the house if this is what you are like for the valuation. Maybe I should get my house valued if it spurs me on to tidy up a bit :rotfl:
