OH had the final call from cccs yesterday. I sent the completed DRO forms to them on th 2nd Dec
. So far I dont think things have moved but cccs said he has 2 ccjs not one well I dont remember any paperwork for that, The thing is what ever they charge as long as it donet go above the 15k then no worries. We/he has to check the final figures when we get the papaerwork through then pay the 90 so hopefully nearing the end.
The calls are a pain no even for me but so annoying to run to get the phone only for it to be one of them!:j0 -
Thanks Keeping Positive0

I've been reading about the restrictions placed on people with a DRO (like not becoming director of a limited company etc), but I'm not sure how long they last. Is it just for the year while the DRO is being sorted, or is it for the 6 years it stays on your credit file, or even longer?
Any help appreciated. Thanks.0 -

These restrictions last until discharge - generally just one year but could be longer in some circumstances0 -

Thanks again YB
For the 6 years that the DRO will be on your credit file (from date of DRO) you will find it difficult to obtain credit, if you are able to get credit be prepared for high interest rates. With regards to a mortgage you may find that you will need a large deposit to put down and high rates.0 -

Hi, hope someone can help as I cannot find anyone in the same situation! I am waiting for my DRO paperwork to be processed - could be another 4 weeks as it is so busy, it has already been 6 weeks.
However, I want to move out away from my husband and stay with my mother as my husband is very abusive physically, mentally and emotionally to me and I have a 3 year old son. All the debts are in my name (even though he built them up - stupid me).
I am worried that I will have to start the process all over again as my address will have changed and I will be on different benefits, although my surplus will still not go over £50 a month. I am mostly worried because I don't want my mother to have to deal with creditors harassing me at her address while I am waiting for the DRO to be processed.
Does anybody know whether I will have to start the process all over again or will I be allowed to change my details without having to?
And what would happen if I get the call saying my DRO application is ready but I am in-between changing my benefits (as they can take a couple of weeks to sort out) and I haven't got any proof of my new benefit yet?
Thank so much0 -
Hi all,
I have £13,000 unsecured debt and would like to apply for a DRO. Here's my SOA- Please tell me what you think (i.e are any of the numbers too high and likley to be rejected?)
According to this i have only £17/month surplus which meets the criteria for DRO (along with havign no assetts and owing less than £15k)
Thankyou!
