Hi Voodoo
I just wanted to say that I've read your posts and elfie's take on this seems sound.
I'm going to give it some thought  and if I come up with anything I'll let you know.
I agree it's very annoying.0 -
I think elfiebs comments have been spot on.If you obtain assets of over £300 during a DRO then there is every chance it will be revoked.
The option of bankruptcy is still there as in BR backdated benefits do not vest in the trustee so cannot be claimed. You could spend it as you choose. would have to prove a need for the car though rather than a want.

Oh and maybe you could post your own SOA then we can try and offer some advise (unfortunately I can't post the link to do the SOA as I'm new, but hopefully someone will be along soon that can).0 -

Have you saught advice regarding a DRO from any of the debt charities?
If not, I would certainly be doing this first before contacting B&E.I used to be Snow White, but I drifted.Mae West

£500 is alot for groceries but anyways I can clearly see things are beyond tight. Try the online CCCS debt remedy. It asks you for your SOA info then gives advise. I think but not sure it might even say if you are too high on some areas.
Just google it.
CCCS themselves are really helpful so worth taliking too even if you go through someone else like the CAB for the DRO.
Good luck:j0 -

Hi Christine,
Just to let you know I got through to B&E today application has been completed over the telephone and the barcode in which to pay the £90 is being sent out in the post today, will update you to progress soon.
Also if you haven't done so already you really should seek advice regarding a DRO from CAB, CCCS or National Debtline etc, its important that your clear on the implications, criteria etc.
I want to stress that I sought advice through CCCS who were really helpful, they advised me that a DRO was my best option and I only contacted B&E to hurry the process up as CCCS had a long waiting time.0 -
Oh and wanted to add that if you contact CCCS, CAB, National Debtline etc they can also go through your SOA with you, some things do look a little high such as electricity, petrol, clothing, but they will know what is reasonable and whether you could reduce any outgoings.
Good luck and hope you get some help soon.0
