I'm not exactly sure. A couple of weeks?
  • Is there a specific time the insolvency register is updated, like at midnight, or is it just as and when? I'm still not on there!

It seems to be updated early in the morning each day.
  • Thanks fatbelly. I called stepchange today and they still hadn't heard about my application. So probably hear something after Easter now! Have a good one
  • Hi,

If a debt relief order is refused, how long before you can apply again?

Its one application every 6 years.

Dont panic, no news is good news, as they say.

If your intermediary has done there job correctly, then it will be approved, the insolvency service usually go with there recommendation, unless there is something seriously wrong with the application, which there wont be, as it would not of been submitted if there was.

Check again after the holiday weekend, all will be fine.

    If it's revoked, six years.

But if the application is declined (e.g. they found out your last one was 5.5 years ago) then you can apply again as soon as you meet the criteria.

    hello

I was going to apply for a DRO with stepchange, but before i'll apply for
it, I would like to ask you a question about it...
2 weeks ago o did some balance transfer from wife's credit card and because
I had 0% interest offer from banks, did total about £8.500 transfer, as I
was using her credit card in past as well so in practice that was my debts
    anyway.
We have just realise that I can go DRO as I can't afford to keep paying
minimum amount each month, the question is - will this case affect my DRO
    application?
    THANKS for your consideration.
