DLA not taken into account for income purposes.
Wether its your best option or not is hard to say without knowing your full circumstances, usually if your on a very low income, its an ideal solution.
Do you meet all the other DRO criteria ?

Hi,
Further to my last post I'm currently getting grief of only one creditor out of 12 which is ok, I have been threatened with doorstep visits etc of this firm so I paid a 1 pound token payment much to there disgust!! However it's not showing on my account and there's no receipt of them but I've got mine.... should I now point blank refuse to pay anything because my payment isn't being acknowledged???0 -

You're unlikely to get a receipt but so long as you have the evidence you are paying the correct account you're ok, and the hassle should stop. If you stop paying you'll get hassle. 25p a week to keep them away from your door ??0 -

Why don't you just crack on with the DRO ?
Once submitted, it can be approved, up and running within 48 hours, then your question would be irrelivant, and it would put an end to your creditors demands.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I've spoken with my intermediary who says if I give it 3 month from 1st Feb I'll be fine and objections can't be raised, so I'm going with this, the firm in question are keen to put a spanner in the works if they can apparently, it's starting to do my head in but hopefully in 5 week I'll be laughing.0

There's no 3-month rule.
Think I've covered this previously0 -
Yes I think you have mate, I spoke with the intermediary who said give it 3 month and I need 8 pay slips, but I did o/t quite heavy one week which is one off, so just gonna play it safe, just for the record.. what can they object too? I've read a bit but there seems to be little about it.. cheers0

My DRO finished 24 Sept 2011 and the six year after period is up too.
I am finally getting around to sorting a few creditors who entered the wrong default dates etc. The trouble is I can't for the life of me find the paperwork containing old account numbers.
What can I do to recover them.
Barclaycard and Next are the ones..0 -

Have you not kept your DRO paperwork at all ?
If not, then send them your details, they should be able to match an account to them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
