    Hi,

DLA not taken into account for income purposes.

Wether its your best option or not is hard to say without knowing your full circumstances, usually if your on a very low income, its an ideal solution.

Do you meet all the other DRO criteria ?

hi yes I'm am just chasing my debts around I have just cut up my two credit cards and put them in envelope and ordered my credit from Experian and I am not ordering any thing off very I'm trying to get things in order before I go to citizens advice for help as of today I'm not behind with anything but Wednesday I should pay very and my two credit cards and just cannot do it any more my credit is all totally maxed out and I will not be able to pay on Wednesday I was thinking should I get a template letter together for my debt asking them to freeze the interest as I'm going to see if I can have a dro thank you so much for your help
  • Hi,

Further to my last post I'm currently getting grief of only one creditor out of 12 which is ok, I have been threatened with doorstep visits etc of this firm so I paid a 1 pound token payment much to there disgust!! However it's not showing on my account and there's no receipt of them but I've got mine.... should I now point blank refuse to pay anything because my payment isn't being acknowledged???

You're unlikely to get a receipt but so long as you have the evidence you are paying the correct account you're ok, and the hassle should stop. If you stop paying you'll get hassle. 25p a week to keep them away from your door ??

Why don't you just crack on with the DRO ?

Once submitted, it can be approved, up and running within 48 hours, then your question would be irrelivant, and it would put an end to your creditors demands.

I've spoken with my intermediary who says if I give it 3 month from 1st Feb I'll be fine and objections can't be raised, so I'm going with this, the firm in question are keen to put a spanner in the works if they can apparently, it's starting to do my head in but hopefully in 5 week I'll be laughing.

    There's no 3-month rule.

    Think I've covered this previously

I've read a bit but there seems to be little about it.. cheers

My DRO finished 24 Sept 2011 and the six year after period is up too.

I am finally getting around to sorting a few creditors who entered the wrong default dates etc. The trouble is I can't for the life of me find the paperwork containing old account numbers.

What can I do to recover them.

Barclaycard and Next are the ones..

Have you not kept your DRO paperwork at all ?

If not, then send them your details, they should be able to match an account to them.
