Also are you allowed to be in contract if you can afford to keep it?
If you are on contract you can easily work this out by phoning the mobile company and asking for a early termination figure. They should be able to work this out over the phone. (Of course you would have to take into account any charges on your current bill that you maybe liable for). All i did was add it together and put a bit extra on top to cover it. There were no problems.0 -
Just a quick question, just wondering if anyone has ever been contacted by the insolvency service during the 12 months of the dro? My intermediary said they can contact you at anytime during the 12 months but I've heard nothing.....is this normal?0

Why would you want a card when you are in a reduced payment plan?.
Have you learn't nothing?.0 -
If you have a halifax credit card that will be include on the DRO, would it be okay to have you normal bank account with lloyds tsb as it is you running account now or would this be a problem as they are part of the same banking group?0

I've not heard of this combination causing a problem but the two 'bits' are getting closer together and it may be safer to bank outside that group.0 -
Got a letter on the 19th April from the IS letting me know that my DRO has been approved! - sighed a huge big sigh a relief, then - horror of horrors .. one of my credit cards is showing as £1.190.55 instead of £1.241.76!
I've obviously given my debt advisor at the CAB an out of date statement so the mistake is entirely mine - will i have to pay the £51.21 difference myself?
I'm so worried that I'll start getting charged interest and before I know it the bill will escalate and i'll be out of my depth again.
Can't believe I could be so stupid0 -

OK. Chill.
This often happens and theoretically they can pursue you for the difference.
But I've never known it happen.
They are allowed to send statements through the moratorium period so that's not a problem. You can assume that everything's OK unless you get anything out of the ordinary from the DRO Unit or a creditor.0
