    Well, this could be a first victory re DRO'S;

    The DRO unit have said that if anyone is actually receiving payment from a pension (of any kind) then that will count as income, not an asset, so could have a DRO if they meet the other criteria.

    This may be the route for me, though I'm applying to the Police so have to wait to see how that goes first

    Hi,

    The DRO unit ONLY contact those you owe money to. There is no routine LL contact or bank contact either.

    Hi
    I got my DRO on 21/5/09. On the same day, one of my pensions was paid into my old bank account in error, even though it was frozen, and i had no access. On the 22/9/09 HSBC closed the account. I phoned them and they refused to send it back to pension company, as it was not a state benefit. Neither of us knew about the date of the DRO at that time.
    As I was DRO on the same day,can I or the OR now ask for it to be sent back, as it would contravene the rules of the DRO?

    To be honest if the OR can claim it and spread it through all my creditors, I would rather that then HSBC getting the lot - they have been a nightmare!!

    I had a clean slate for about 2 hours , but that was my rent, so will be in debt again as soon as I have started again!! It is so frustrating!!

    Advice gratefully received.
  • Any idea the wait time at the moment from sending off the DRO application to having a reply/ appearing on insolvency register?
