Hi guys, my DRO was granted on 13th January 2011 and I just got a free trial credit report to see what it showed for it, but find that, in courts section, it shows 'Bankruptcy' - is this normal?

    Many thanks

    Equifax by the way

will they be frozen even if i dont owe them any money?

If you are up to date with them then you do not include them on the creditor list and you can continue to use them as normal

  • I have just heard from a good friend who was in the process of applying for a DRO.

Everything seemed to have been going fine, however at the last hurdle they have been told that they do not qualify because they receive LHA (Local Housing Allowance) and that is considered income.

Surely this is not correct as it is ultimately the same as Housing benefit but just paid to private tenant. Can anyone advise if this is correct and if not, the best way forward.

That is most definately NOT correct. I get LHA allowance for my rent and it did not affect my DRO. Who said they do not qualify..?

What you receive as income is irrelevant, it's the amount of disposable income you have over £50pm which will put you out of DRO eligibility. Not qualifying because of receiving LHA is just rubbish. Who on earth were they told that by?

LOL as for the post about me being "lucky" not receiving any annoying phone calls,i spoke too soon!!! Tescos has now got there automated system phoning me every hour from 8:30am.Whats even funnier is the lawyer i had to see on Wednesday informed me i was only the second person they had ever done a DRO for!
I had to watch him enter exactly the same details onto a online scripted web page that i had given to the CAB,His secretary, and now him.....I could have entered all this information once myself online in about an hour, instead to get this far its taken over a year!!!! AND still i am now waiting for someone else to read all this info and get back to me about a decission....ALL the time crediters are putting interest on top increasing the amount owed but only the amounts submitted are included in a DRO!
Sorry if this upsets anyone here, but this whole process is madness!!!
Lol,sorry, but i feel tense enough about the debt, all this extra madness just dosent help and i am just complaining to everyone at the moment not just here....Blowing off steam! :)

Re the interest, yes it is still accruing but at the end of the moratorium it'll all be written off anyway, so as long as when your application is processed that interest hasn't taken you over the 15k limit it will only affect you if your DRO is revoked.
I hope that reassures you some!

  • i paid my fee for dro and im now on the Individual Insolvency Register, does that mean i have been acsepted?
  • I have a few questions if someone in the know could please answer them?:

Is working families tax credits and child tax credits taken in to account in what they would call disposable income?

Is the disposable income accounted for after they work out your debts? (If that makes sense)

How do they value your car, or are you expected to provide some kind of independant evaluation?

    Thanks
