  • they phoned me yesterday and offered me a way to become debt free in 3/4 yrs ....its not a IVA its a trustee thing and you pay an ex amount per mnth for the duration and apparantly some of your debt is completley paid off!!
    And how much would they charge you for the priviledge of this amazingly wonderful and fantastic debt solution?

    hi well my oh is finally taking the plunge and going bankrupt, what i want to know is because its only him going BR would i need to put down what i earn and also child benefit which gets paid into my account and child maintenance for my dd. I only work part time so i dont earn a lot. thanks.
    I will lose 2 stone by this summer!!!!!!

  • what happens to bank accounts on a dro? I have an account with santander who i dont owe money to..will this be frozen ? Do I need to open another account as my tax credits and housing benefits need somewhere to go.

    Should be OK. There might be a problem if you have other debts to Santander but a bank account in credit is not a debt and so doesn't get listed.

    You will be fine. I have an account with them which i was using just before my dro was granted and it hasn't sffected it at all.
  • thanks, im going to the cab tomorrow. i have my credit report, proof of cb AND TAX CREDS. what else will i need? also what is accepted for household expenses? i have a 3 year old and a 5 month old. x
  • also (sorry to be a pain) what happens to things like virgin media accounts, mobile phone accounts?

    You can include them in the DRO, but be aware that your accounts will be frozen, so if your broadband is through virgin you will loose it.

    will they be frozen even if i dont owe them any money?
