    Hi all

Day Four's going pretty well so far, and I'm finding that I'm going longer without thinking about Not Smoking than before. My fiance has started coughing up some rather technicolour gook though, which is entertaining. We've still actually only told a handful of people though, and am looking forward to feeling like we really have cracked it and can announce to the Free World that we are FINALLY FREE!!

    *ahem*

    :D

same as me day four.getting easier by the day. my mate offered me a cig i refused him.

    I'm still going:T what is it? 10 days now?:j

I had one day of not being able to go to the toilet:o Sorry, TMI but it was a real concern of mine:D
    I feel so much CLEANER.
I'm not coughing up any gunk and expected that by now.
Reading back it just goes to show that smoking is cool and sexy right?:rotfl::rotfl:

Keep it up guys, it's getting easier all the time for me. I'm not daft enough to think I am immune to them though. It would be VERY easy to slip back into old habits. That reminds me, I'm almost out of lollypops and must buy some tomorrow;)

Well done Shel. Good to hear you are getting on well. One day at a time in those early months I think anyway. :)

Still pootling along nicely here, and some more people know that we've stopped now, which will make life easier. Tonight I not only tell my mum that I've finally stopped smoking but also that we've set a date for our wedding, so - if England win as well - there may be tears before bedtime! :D

    Keep on keeping on guys!

I have 19 posts in this thread, each one declaring my hatred of nicotine and how I want to stop. Yet each time I succumb.
However, got to keep on keeping on.
Have no cigarettes, have a mini tabs and an inhalator. Take each urge as it comes.

I haven't been on for a while but still going strong.
It is amazing to see the 3 legends, Sue-UU, Larmy16 and Jammy Dodger, still on here helping and advising. They helped me so much when I stopped.
I had been smoking for 40 years with such an addiction the "Stop Smoking" nurse had never come across.
I started on 25mg. patches, now on 15mg. I struggled with anxiety after stopping, got prescibed Diazapam about 4 weeks ago. I am meant to take 3 a day but have only ever taken 1 in a day on about 8 occasions, but I know they are there if I am desperate.
Every day is hard but the cravings are less. If I am struggling I just think back to a day when I coped and think if I managed that day then I can again today.
I think I will want a cigarette for a long time to come but I choose not to have one.
I wish I was disgusted by them but I am not.
Great to see so many new quitters, we can do it, take all the advice and support you can get but do it the best way for you.
    Keep the faith!!!

When I first came on here I was asked to put how many days and what method in the title.
I think this is a great idea as other posters can see how experienced you are or perhaps very new and need some support.
It also makes you feel good about adding another day!
