    G'day all!

Still going strong here, and I haven't had to use any gum yet today. I have no doubt I will at some point, but I'm trying to hold out as long as I can, as the endgame for me is to get off NRT asap too - begone toxins! My fiance's using his e-cigs, and they're helping quite a bit, but he's finding that the support we're giving each other is helping the most. So never underestimate the power of a good support network like you guys here :T

I like the look of that. I will definitely use it when I eventually get down to zero tabs a day

Daz - when you said "tabs" I remembered Harry Enfield's Bu**er all Money. Remember him? Of course you were talking about the Champix right? ;)

Sorry not to have been on for a few days folks, but I've had surgery which left me in a great deal of pain and I really didn't feel like starting up the PC, let alone coming on the boards. Anyway, getting better now so I'll be here again soon.

No, I was talking about cigarettes.

I start my second week tomorrow so the dosage doubles again. I know have to make a determined effort to cut down by more every day.

I am going to aim for 20 tomorrow. I was on fifty this time last week.

Daz - Of course I forgot that you have to take the tablets for some time before you finally stop. Amazing. Do the cigarettes start to lose their appeal?

I had Zyban many years ago and it worked brilliantly. So why did I start again? Hmmmm powerful psychological attachment and that is the one to be really wary of. I am sure you wont be so daft as I was!!!!!

All the best by the way. :)

best way i found was to go cold turkey. this way you only have one hard day and the rest of the days you dont crave honestly.:)

They do start to lose their appeal, and you find yourself forgetting they exist.

    Hi all

Day Four's going pretty well so far, and I'm finding that I'm going longer without thinking about Not Smoking than before. My fiance has started coughing up some rather technicolour gook though, which is entertaining. We've still actually only told a handful of people though, and am looking forward to feeling like we really have cracked it and can announce to the Free World that we are FINALLY FREE!!

    *ahem*
