What the hell am I gonna go with no internet access till Monday

Only got the phone and can't get a signal most of the time, even then I gotta work the bluddy thing!!

    So sad :(

Oh, and plus, child tax credits..after paying me £160 this week 'cos they owed me', now have said they've overpaid me by £2,500 and want it back in 14 days :confused:

Jo they did this to me last year remember 2604 they gave me a cheque then it turned around I owed them it so I had to give back my newly found wealth (which wasnt mine) and then I have to pay back the money - they can't take it all at once - they are taking it back at about 20 a week from me now. I'd call them if you can and ask them to take it back at a reasonable rate - I mean who has a spare 2500 sitting about - its utterly unreasonable.

Theres a thread on MSE about similar things - I wrote to my MP (hasnt helped yet but you never know)

    Hugs me dear

Ta for all your kind words - out to dinner tonight and that post kept ringing in my head. Had a mineral water.

So another AFD for me - hard though am at OH's and there's stuff in cupboards and sitting on the shelf but I knwo if I have one I will have several. And its late

OH yeah and great - flew down whats the first thing they do when you get on the plane - wheel out the drinks trolley - wrestled my two voices.......one saying have a gin and tonic, NO NO gin and tonic, gin gin gin, NO just Tonic..............

By the time the lady got to me I nearly screamed out JUST TONIC PLEASE - so quickly - so had just a tonic

Meal out quickly asked for water!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:

Morning and welcome to the weekend:j

Have spent a while catching up - thanks for all the posts, especially Fay - your reasons not to drink post really got me thinking and I recognised myself.

Thursday was AF (so that's 10 now for me lease HS) and I need to be AF till the end of the month to hit my target.

Last night I was out at a huge works 'do', very good fun and hugely enjoyable. Was quite careful with the drinking - had two glasses of champagne, 1 glass of wine and two cocktails - don't know what was in them but fairly strong with lots of crushed ice. So, not really hungover but very tired as the children had me up at 6 after getting to sleep at 2!

DH and DS1 away for the weekend so I am taking it easy.
Saving to pay the tax man

Stocked up on kudzu today

Planned drinking night tonight and am at a wedding reception tomorrow night so it won't be one of my 'lowest alcohol units consumed' weeks in the last 2 months, but still flipping good to my previous units consumed, so am ok with that :j:D

Hope everyone is ok tonight xx

Enjoy the wedding reception fluffy !

    Hi Jo

Tax credits overpaid me ( well actually they didn't but that is another story) and they allowed me to pay it back over 12 months.

  • Morning everyone

Another AFD for me ( 15 in total) AND IT WAS A FRIDAY.

I am rather amazed that i managed it last night . I went to Tesco with my DH and 3 DS's and they were having a bloody wine festival - some of the bottles were only £1.99  . Anyway I was singing a little song in my head to take my mind off it ( I also do this when I go to the dentist and the dreaded smear - as it seems to help :rotfl:) Anyway my stress levels were sky-high as the kids were running riot and DH was not much better as he kept disappearing ( Why does he do that ?) . The song in my head then changed to " Once upon a time I drank a little wine was as happy as good be, happy as good be ... " . I stopped to review the wine shelves and even touched a bottle (:naughty:) BUT I did not buy any:A

Things did not improve much when we got home . Kids were all screaming and fighting while husband just sat on the internet totally oblivious to WW3 happening behind him . SO... I completely lost it with the kids.

Now , I must admit that this is not the first time that this has happened and husband usually repsonds by saying " stop you mad woman , you're drunk " . Last night he said " shut up you mad woman you are worse than the kids" . I replied " yes but I am not drunk"

So last night I learn't 2 things about myself :

    1. I am naturally a bad mother  and

    2. I am naturally clumpsy . Spilling drinks has nothing to do with being drunk . I know this as I spilled a mug of tea all down myself AND I was wearing a sparkling white T-shirt. :rotfl:

You learn something new every day!

Have a great day everyone . Catch up later

have a lovely time at the wedding do fluffybishop, my husband and i are meeting friends at the pub, then going on for a meal tonight, i feel happy to be going out - we don't get out much, but half of me is dreading, as my friends all know that i like to drink a lot and if i say that i'm not drinking, they will ask me why? so i'm going to dcide not to drink alc while i am on my dieting campaign and as i have 5 stone to lose, it will take at least the rest of the year, if not more, as i am not an exercise freak, more sit at the computer and take the dog for a short walk, is enough for me.
i'm frightened that if i have the ONE drink, i will not be able to stop, so if i don't have that first drink, then i should be ok - if you know what i mean.
had 2 seperate comment yesterday, that i didn't have bags under my eyes! like i usually have, this was supposed to be a compliment...

congrats on the 15 days - you must feel great! and you are not a bad mother, any one who goes shopping with 3 sons and husband, deserves a medal! i remember what it was like taking one child shopping! let alone 3.

if it is any consolation, i can get up in a morning, nice and clean and an hour later i am mucky, don't know where it comes from, as house is pretty clean, most of the time, muck seems to stick to me!
how old are yoiur 3 sons?
have a good weekend everyone - while the sun is shining
