Morning everyone! Well last night the wine bells tolled for me and I thought as I am not at work on Friday why not have a few glasses?

I knew my mood was still quite low and the wine would not improve it. The thoughts still whirled around my head. I thought about going to bed with a glass of wine to read at 9pm.

Decided against it and against drinking last night. Woke up this morning feeling a bit groggy so a good job I didn't have a drink!

AFD no.7 for me last night!

Mood feels like it is lifting today the last 2 days and nights have been looooonnng!

Looking forward to a lovely long weekend and catching up with the chores I put off with my low mood and the garden if the weather holds at some point. Looks grey today outside!

  • Morning Molly and all :D

Slightly clearer head this morning - toxins must be disappearing.
Suns out, the pool is in the polytunnel and the kids are constantly watching the temperature ..... driving me nuts!!! I have said when it gets up to 18C they can go in the water! It was 40C at one point in the tunnel yesterday so the water temp should be up there soon!:j

This mornings task is to plant some more seeds in the other end of the tunnel!

We have some friends coming over this afternoon, and it will be the first time they have been over for a couple of years without me smelling of or drinking beer ..... Now that is one of my own 'steps'.

Now I know Mr Carr says you shouldn't replace one drink with another but I want shares in Eisburg Wines! I really feel I can do it this time. Fingers arms and legs crossed.

    Have a great day everyone

    Morning all,

BHB, I want some of your postive'ness!! Not a wine drinker so don't think there's much point in me trying out the AF wines. OH bought a couple of bottles of Sholer (sp?) as it's on offer in Mr T's for DD1 but I don't fancy that either, not really into soft sweet drinks so I don't know what to 'replace' beer with  Enjoy your tunnel today, hope it's reached 18c by now :D

FUAS, glad to hear the fog is lifting :)

40SM, hope you're okay today, don't worry, we've all been there!

    Hi to everyone else

Getting fed up with the groundhog day life I've got at the moment, need a step up the ladder to get motivated and going. I also feel bad posting on here as you must all think I'm flogging a dead horse as I'm always on the wagon/off the wagon/on/off/on/off etc etc, feel great/feel low, it never stops and I don't know where I am half the time.

Feeling okay, in myself, just getting frustrated with myself :(

Right Jo...Whips out, back up on this wagon.Join BHB in some positiveness, ness, ness, ness
Have you tried AF Holsten Pils .I drank it on holiday and thought it was quite good.
Forget about setting targets...alter your thinking.....from today you are a 'non-drinker'.
Go to the shops and with the money you would have spent on alcohol today buy some special bubble bath...be extravagant...candles/chocolate.....forget MSE for five minutes....you are special.
Think of the savings in the long term and also your health.

    Yes Ma'am!! pd1514512.jpg

I shall buy some radox, chocolate fudge cake, clotted cream and a magazine, in fact gonna go now.

A bit angry with myself as I didn't take the mince out of the freezer last night for tonights spag bol, I really can not afford to spend time in the kitchen by myself thinking about drinking and thought I'd shove it all in the slow cooker this morning and all I'd have to do is a panful of spaghetti tonight. I wonder if I break it up into small bits it will defrost quicker and I could cook it on high for 5 hours?

Thanks MP, you are a star, as always :A :kisses:
