This is all part of my self-sabotage theory!

I'll be interested to hear this theory when you have the time!
  • I think self sabotage is definately an issue (with me) - its the core of what I do - why no idea?

For me maybe.......Low self worth - ? Too early to get inside my head this am!

I am having to come up with increasingly cunning ways to avoid buying the stuff - honestly you would think the way I am acting I am 6 or something.

    Thanks for the good wishes.

Eating chocolate is very good idea (well apart from a diet point of view) as alcohol has a lot of sugar in. But probably not long term. At the moment I'm doing quite a bit of gyming and swimming which is helping. And last night I had a look round the "Increase your income" board and signed up for a load of consumer panel things - which will hopefully help a little with the debt and keep me busy of an evening : )

Slight problem is I'm smoking probably more than normal at the moment - but one thing at a time I suppose.

Haven't had a real crisis yet ie. letters or phone calls from creditors or them refusing to accept the DMP, and can imagine that it will be very hard to resist a drink then - but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

    Take Care

  • 5/9 for me NTC, am gradually catching up with where I need to be this month.

Thanks for all the meerkats guys (Lurkio, Jo, NTC, YM I think), that really helped with the madness. Actually, I was talking to my goddaughter yesterday about it and she told me that her most annoying ad was the one where the small boy refuses to use the toilet because he "Wants. To. Do. A. Poo. At. Paul's". It's just wrong really, isn't it.
    ...nothing to see here...

Welcome Jon. Why don't you join in by setting yourself a target for March (I'm sure it's not too late, is it ntc?) then you'll feel you're taking control of an aspect of your life and the sense of achievement will make you feel more ready to cope with other carp.

Fay, it makes me sad to hear you talk about low self-worth. I know you're finding it hard but your AF achievement proves you can be strong and determined. That's got to count for a lot in my book!

And I only came on here to have a quick catch-up and see my name in lights! Bye for now.

That advert is so annoying! I usually mute all adverts actually because they annoy me so much.

I am not sure if I am to be AF today or not. I am feeling blah at the moment although I know drinking will probably make me feel more blah.

    Hope you are all okay.:A

Is this a target for Alcohol free days?? If so, then I'll go for 25 - I really want to go for 31 but should have some leeway I suppose.

This is all part of my self-sabotage theory!

Morning! I'm not claiming to be the only one to say it but I did use the phrase self-destruct during my disastrous February, along with a complete inability to explain it so looking forward to your revelation!! *several posters now with bated breath*

I think I've struggled up to 3 days now woop di woo but still way OTT on the other days except for one.

Am in pain from top to toe.....after nearly 20 years of resolutely refusing to do any exercise I had an hour of "tums bums & legs" yesterday. OMG!
Far too many bits wobbling about - parts of me were still moving for minutes after I'd stopped.....must get rid of my wine tum before the summer!
