Hi Ophelia and well done on keeping within your limits:T I know for quite a few of us on here, drinking in moderation is the goal and to be able to enjoy social settings with or without. Heres my take on AFM, your target is exactly that your target, nobody will judge you (unless its lurkio of course then we will :rotfl: ) if you want to rethink I am sure so just let me know what target you want to set and I will make the change;)
budgie and fay well done ladies I will change your scores on the doors now:D ooooh thats 100 between us now
sorry jo cross posted. :hello:29th Feb Quit Day :j0 -
Hi Ophelia. I agree you need to learn what sort of target suits you. In January I went for the maximum number of days possible that allowed me to drink just at weekends and then did a lot of stressing when a friend suggested a weekday lunch. Feb and March I've consulted my 'social diary' and built in some other days for unplanned occasions before setting my target. This is what works for me. I'm doing what I wanted 'cutting down' not beating myself up. I want the target because it helps me to be accountable to my virtual friends.
Others are far more determined to give up completely or cut down harder than me. This thread is all about finding out what you want for you and loads of support to achieve it.
Back on the wagon tomorrow, best wishes to all.0 -
Hi all

Ophelia, don't worry about it, you don't really know what you want to achieve yet in the grand scheme of things, if you can do social drinking then there is nothing wrong with that. It's up to you to decide whether or not that that is all you want? Use this as a learning curve to decide where you want to be
FB, I deffo will order online next time and from H&B with the quidco cashback (thanks to Fay
), it's just when I want something, I want it NOW!!!
xx
Hi all - Ophelia i agree with what the others have said - xx
AND Jo I am definately a I want it now girl - but limited shops here - so paticence must be exercised on my part.
Finding it very very hard this past week - have resorted to snugglin down on the sofa of an evenin under a blanket when it gets really bad (those naughty bells) and having a wee snooze to ward away the bells. Hence up so late I guess tonight!:rotfl:Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Morning all,
Blimey Lurks, you're early
I'm the same as you Fay, definately finding this hard over the past week, weekends are hell. In all my haste to get the Kudzu on Saturday, I've not taken any yet, just forgot! I'm going to stick them in my bag today, what time do you all think I should take them? I normally have a coffee at about 3 - 3.30pm then do the drive past the offys at about half 4, so should I take a couple then?
Gotta go, just realised the time and the kids aren't dressed and are engrossed in Tom & Jerry, we gonna be late (again )  :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I agree with the others Ophelia. Cutting down is fine - I just want to drink moderately at weekends/socially and I think that is perfectly fine so am trying to stop the drinking during the week. Do whatever suits you and your lifestyle

Jo, I am a 'I want it NOW' kind of girl too :rotfl: :rotfl: I guess you should take your Kudzu 30 - 60 minutes before your own particular 'danger period' Mine is from about 6pm so I take mine around 5.30pm and that works for me
I stuck to the recommended guidelines on alcohol units over the weekend :A :j Drank for 3 nights - back to AF today  but this week I am going for 4 nights in a row. I will report in later after my 'danger period' ends
Good luck everyone0 -
morning all - why do I still feel so thick headed -?
Prob best not to answer that!!
