  • If I pick up a drink within 48 hours one of these will have happened:

    In hospital.
    In prison.
    Dead.
    Living Sober.

Some methods A.A. members have used for not drinking.

    Ok guys,

    This is getting serious.

I fear for our little band. Here are my thoughts .........

Our dear Capt Lurky has now been captured by Esther M and is now locked in the cage, as she says: "Revenge is a dish best served cold".

Our Lovely Polaroid is stuck on the settee due to: kit kat overload, (I know we all thought she had kicked the kit kats so to speak).

Our Sweet Molly Polly is swamped under the January tax returns.

Our darling Jo just can't leave the double deckers alone.

Our kind Grey P is stuck on the treadmill, shifting more lard.

Our wondrful Fay is still running late and trying to catch up.

And: Bis, Miamoo, Winebox, Maman. Mari and everyone else. PLEASE COME BACK ITS LONELY WITH OUT YOU.

    Anyone else got any thoughts?
Though there's not many of you left. :rotfl:

    Another afd for me :T

    Lots love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I hope they have loads going on, and because they have radically cut down their intake this month, they are out doing fun stuff!!

Or just as good would be they aren't struggling so much, and feel able to have a bit of time away from the computer.

I am sure they are all fine, and if not, they have support and understanding here. Most people (myself included) can easily stop drinking, they just cannot stay stopped.
  • I finished my bottle of wine last night. Got irritable with DS. thought to myself what a waste of time this is. Today saw neighbours coming home rolling drunk after an afternoon in the pub...kids in tow....cue domestic any moment now. Went to a mates for a catch up. She worked her way thru a bottle of cider whilst I stuck to tea!

Definately back on the wagon. So 22/25 for me please.

    Hi all!

Am here...honest! Just finding it difficult to find time to get on the computer this last couple of weeks.

To be truthful I've lost count of the AF days but would estimate at 16/24. Had very busy days and have been having a glass of wine or two to relax of an evening. Not the bottle I would have had before though so I AM improving I think. I know I'm using busy days as an excuse to down a couple but feel that cutting down is more achievable to me at the moment than total abstinence.

    Hope everyone else is ok!!

Hi all, instead of my usual sat/sun nights away I did fri/sat so not been in here since fri morning. Not good news from your "Feb scorer" 'cos the weekend has been a disaster from an alch point of view (you were so right GC, about people falling by the wayside....).

There will always be a "reason" or an "excuse" to drink but TBH I am finding it so hard to deal with losing Dad; it seems to get harder day by day rather than even starting to get over it. Sorry, I know I tend to give TMI on the personal front, but I am an emotional wreck at the moment.

Am DETERMINED to have next 4 days AF so Jan not a complete wash-out. I know I can claim mitigating circumstances, in a big way, but then again if we're talking life-changes, there are always going to be problems, stress-points, & going on benders every time isn't the answer. hasn't stopped me though.

Sorry, feeling down as you can tell. Better tomorrow. AF tomorrow!!!

    Dear Winebox.

I know that I can't say any words that can make things better?

But please know that my thoughts are with you and you are in my prayers.

Please take care Angel, you need time to come to terms with your loss. Be kind to yourself and please take care.
