IA - starting over in 2009.

Some had probably noticed that I've not updated my other diary in ages. This is mainly due to the whole christmas etc period being very difficult for me because of everything that's gone on recently. But... today is a new day and a new year.. so this is officially me starting over. 2009 WILL be better than 2008. I'm going to make sure of that. I have put together some new years resolutions so here's the list so far...
Be happy and make my girls happy
Be financially stable
Be a good mother
Make more of an effort to spend time with friends
Find love with someone who deserves my love back
Become a better bassist
Get my own car and gain independance
Gig more and write more with the band
Finish my CAB training and become a qualified advisor
I'm sure there was more but I can't think of them right now. lol Essentially this is the start of me sorting my life out. Has been a complete emotional rollercoaster the past few months and I'm coming out the other side. So I guess this isn't really a debt diary as I'm debt free... more of a STAYING debt free diary and saving for a new car. I'm sick of being reliant on Steve allowing me to have the car to be able to get to CAB and go out and do things and essentially being held to ransom for use of our old car. I've figured I'll need about 3k to get something that's safe, reliable and won't cost me a fortune in repairs. I know every says that you don't need to spend a lot of money on a car BUT having had 2 cheap cars that have either been death traps or cost me a fortune in repairs just to get them to run I'm not taking the chance and I want to get something decent. Going to sit down tonight and do a financial plan for it so will post that as soon as I've got it.
So yea... here we go again... 2009 is going to be my year... I'm going to get on my feet emotionally and stop being an emotional retard, and this diary is going to keep me on the straight and narrow... a place to harbor my thoughts and random rants.. you know.. the usual IA crap.. :P
So here's to a new year and a new me...

Hi there and Happy New Year
The good thing about your resolutions are that they are all positive. You haven't decided to stop/quit/don't do anything, so with such positive affirmations you can only succeed. Good luck!Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -

Hi Sar, even if things don't go to plan you know we're always here for you.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
