Well well here we are again! Feeling a bit down about all our debt at the moment. Sick of the house being untidy and desperate for it too be decorated. But there is no point painting if we are waiting to do an extension when we can afford it. Once I get motivated I will once again sort out toys (cue sigh!!) hmmm. In order to remotivate myself me and hubby are going to sit down tonight and redo our while budget. We are going to look at having a separate savings account where we put a bit in each month to cover unexpected bills and car servicing etc!
To do
- sort out savings account
- lose 10llbs (started today! - am borrowing an exercise dvd!)
- redo SOA
- Join the PAD thread and work out how to transfer money over to CCard!
- Aim to make at least £50 from Ebay per month
- Clear and NOT go into overdrafts.
Lots I know! DH going to do any overtime available at work. I have a few hours to put in.
Will post again and let u fellow moneysavers know how I am getting on! x:rotfl:

Morning all! Well last night was very productive - me and DH sat down and completed together a new SOA - will post on here once I work out how too?????
We have worked out after paying bills, saving a little we should have £500 per month over which should be thrown at the ccard! The once I am working on is down to £2950! (must change sig) than I have another at £1800 (interest free) which we can then work on. Once these are paid off we will have more to throw at a northern rock loan. We certainly had our LBM and wont ever have a credit card for being silly with again. Now I am paying off what we spent I feel we wasted sooooo much - ho hum though!!!
Today I need to do a few things -
Post parcel - done!
List 3 items on ebay
Tidy out cuboard
Look at opening a savings account for our new emergency fund!
Sort out and file bank statements.
Have a rake around for other items for ebay
Attempt to tackle general mess made by children and find some rope to climb the mountain of ironing - could be dangerous! LOL!

Hi Pinky, you are doing really well, keep it up. Its always difficult to keep things tidy when you have littlies, esp during the holidays. Once they are back at school you will be able to catch up a bit. Well done with the CC.

Hmm can't seem to get link to work so when little ones asleep will type up the revised budget anyway and at the start of the month we will tick off everything to ensure it is moved to savings or paid off where its supposed to be.
We had a nice low spend day today going to a local fete and we spent only about £12 and kids had a lovely time. On another good note I listed 6 things on ebay and have another 6 listed on scheduled for tonight. Have about another 5 items ready to go on when I have time so hopefully will be able to add anther £50 to credit card pot. I am also waiting for fair bit from quidco but that seems to be taking forever for some reason we have about £250 tied up there??? may have to send them a message am sick of waiting.
So this pm have a few jobs to do going to
- check bank accounts
- try and list another 3 items at least on ebay
- tidy kitchen
- take babes for a bike ride

I could cry just typed this all out and lost ittttt! So will try again!
Sat down with DH the other night an redid budget etc and decided since LBM we couldnt afford to go broad next year. Anyway the money we had been saving matures in feb so going to pay this off the credit cards now. Which means I have an additional £1400 to come off the credit card. So it looks like this
£2900 - £1400 leaves £1500
Sep -£250 leaves £1250
Oct - £250 leaved £1000
Nov - £250 leaves £750
Dec - £250 leaves £500
Jan - £250 leaves £250
Feb -£250 leaves - £000000000000
I am working on a minimum payment here am hoping to pay an extra £100 on top of this to reduce term eg extra overtime or ebay which i nearly have £55 for.
After thin card I have another at £1800 which is 0% so this is the next part of my challenge - if I can pay this off earlier great. We are hoping DH may get a pay rise early next year so that will certainly help plus we have an additional £100 per month from not paying into a holiday account- so the 2nd card potentially could be paid off by summer?? yey!:T

Well done pinky, it sounds like you are doing great!!
Just think of all the extra cash you will have once you are debt free. Will you still continue with ms? Some people go back to spending like crazy, once they get all their debts paid off. (well I have a friend that did, and shes back to being in debt again)
katiexx0 -
Thanks K Clampet - no def will be sticking with MS once debt free - can't believe the money have wasted in the past and certainly wouldn't do it again!
Today I sold 5 items on ebay and have £60 to top up account this month I was £100 in the overdraft so my ebay funds will half it.
I have 6 items ending tonight and another 4 to list yet so will try and do that later. Going shopping later so will try and stick to the list and food plan I have. DH has also found a shop which sells 4pints of milk for £1 we go through 20pints a week and normally spend £1.65 so DH worked out through buying at the diff shop we are saving £150 per year - Can you tell he is on board with the money saving???
I am still waiting for c cards to arrive so I can pay some off. I have money I owe mum and am going to sit tonight and transfer money to make sure budget is stuck too. I will have so far 4 hours overtime for sept so hopefully can top this up through the month. I am going to continue with the search in house to ebay and clear the clutter.
Thats all for now:j

Hi Pinky
I've just been reading through your diary, from 1st Jan and I can see you have come along way to being a dfw. congrats and keep with the programme!

Here we are again guys! Have had an early start so thought would post now before I get another cracking headache -poor me ;(.
So a quick update -
- I have checked my bank account - waiting for £50 ebay transfer to top it up
- DH going for cheap milk to see us through the week
- Done my free scratch won 10p - yey
- Checked my ebay - 3 parcels to post, waiting for one payment, opened 1 dispute (hate doing that) and have 1 item selling tonight.
- Tonight I will list another 4 items!
- Off to asda for a few going back to school bits and am going to put all my change in the money changer machine.
- Also DH and I decided to get one of those post office cards where you can put money on each month for your car tax. I thought I could do this each month when I get my family allowance and it means next year at least we won't be caught short as we normally do!
I have also started having a little thinky about christmas and took alook at the preparing for winter thread. I may try and start putting a bit away each month for sale shopping as I always get some great bargains for the children and especially on jeans etc which normally cost a fortune - so at least I will be able to stock up.
My CCard bill hasn't yet come but I have a payment for £250 to come off it anyways. I have decided to focus on just the card for now which is acruing interest. This seems to be the most sensible option.
I did my food shop on friday and that came in at £80. I need to top us with some meat from the butchers now but have enough food to last us two weeks. I only need to top up with fruit and milk during the week.
I am desperately trying not too go the local shop hence DH getting milk. As I end up tempted by chocolate which always costs a£1. I end up grabbing a magasine so really spending more than I need. So I am going for the aviodance technique anyway!!:rotfl:
I am going to check quidco again today also as they are really hacking me off and find out where all mine and DH money is - could really do with this money at the moment.
Jobs for today include-
- Attempting to catch up on ironing when babies in bed tonight
- Clean bathroom (have I a boiler suit?)
- Change money and collect fam allowance
- Chase kids to do homework!
Food plan for rest of the week - boo hoo!
