Had some good news yesterday - I am getting a bonus, £3800 before tax etc. so hope to come out with about £2000 of it.

In two minds how to deal with it as some jobs need doing around the house - shower in bathroom, new garden shed and some decorating

Or pay off debts which are either 0% or low LOB, but will probably have to add to them at a normal rate to do the work - decisions, decisions.

    PAD for today is £442.77

    Speak to you all soon.

    All the best

Danko - glad you enjoyed your day at school and fab news on your placement!

Thevinternet - I am utterly terrified of the dentist, had a few horror dentists when i was young. My mum used to be walking up the hill to the dentist and turn round to see where I was and I would be nowhere to be seen. I had ran back down the hill and hid! Anyway 4 years ago I started going to the dentist again and she is lovely, listened to the reasons why i was so scared and really put me at ease. Now I am not totally cured of the fear but I no longer have nightmares for weeks before i go just some butterflies for an hour or so! If I can do it anyone can!

Mum of three+labrador - Congrats on the mega price busting shopping, and so jealous you were at Jamie's restaurant. OH and I went to Fifteen and London before we eloped, we always meant to go back on our anniversary but as I was pregnant and we didn't fancy the flight down.

Maisie M - Congrats on clearing the card! Well done! :T:T

Well my PAD is for £6.03 OH decided to take packed lunch instead of getting his Friday bought lunch and we rounded down the account.

Only been doing this 4 days but it is really having such a positive effect. The debt is always at the front of my mind and not pushed to the back, but I feel so positive for doing something. I just hope I keep being this positive!

This thread is certainly the kick I needed to really start trying to make a dent in the debt.

Hope everyone has a good Friday and a fab weekend

    xx
  • The debt with the higher interest rate should be paid off first as long as there are no penalties for paying earlier and as long as the interest has not been frontloaded people sometimes pay off their smaller debt just to motivate them but as you said this does not bother you then go for the highest rate.

    Morning Everyone

Thanks DT and danko for the advice.....I will continue with the highest interest rate with miserable mbna...:A

Hi Sis great news. Don't spend on the 0% or LOB cards defeats the object of getting them in the first place. :money:If the jobs need doing do it out of the bonus get figures and if there is any left put it towards you cards.

Great day yesterday I won £25 on the free bingo and £2.50 on 1p bingo so as soon as that hits my bank it will be going to PAD. First time I have ever won on free bingo with almost 4000 people playing not surprising. I was in shock.:j

OH got paid for some extra work bet you can't guess what his supposedly part time occupation is? My OH is a mystery man as well. I wait for suggestions.:D:rolleyes::rotfl:

So £65 PAD to the blue Elise fund:j

    Happy guessing:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
