boysma - sorry to hear about your son's diagnosis, but as you say, at least it's nothing worse.

A friend of mine has ulcerative colitis and has had a bad time of it in the past. However, she found that diet definitely helped. Some years ago she became vegetarian for Lent as an experiment to see if it would help. She felt so much better that she never went back!

Speaking for myself, I am vegetarian and I have IBS. I have been veggie for nearly 20 years and my IBS has never been as bad in that time as when I was still eating meat.

I am not into preaching - I believe in freedom of choice - I just thought it would help you if I shared my experiences! However, your son needs to work out what foods (and other things, like stress) aggravate his condition and try to at least minimise those things.

Incidentally, my aforementioned friend will shortly be cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End (or is it the other way round?!) so it just goes to show, life does go on!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm i thought this would be easy ! ..... but all i can find at the moment is this one ...... i was hoping to find a funny or rude one ..... Fag_ash_lil doesn't give up that easily , so i will keep looking ! ......

Another good day yesterday - £1486.49 paid off our debts.

Good morning all!

To all the new people who have joined - Welcome!

Each morning, one of the PAD folks adds up what we have paid to our collective debts the previous days and it does really show how "A Payment A Day makes the debt go away."

I have added up all of the daily totals for February and we have paid a massive £27,954.19 from our collective debts. That works out as £998.36 per day!

LondonAndy has kindly volunteered to add up the totals for us in March, so please make it easier for him by making your posts as clear as possible by making your PAD in a bigger font, bold or coloured or all of the above! This applies to the old hands too not just the new folks!

Happy PADing to all - it really does make a difference!
