Hi everyone just catching up on posts from last night and today. Oh Terri so sorry you got bitten - you are having a bad week! DT many happy returns (sorry i cant do any of the fancy smilies) Liked the piccie from Hopeful - actually wish it was my birthday if i got one of those:D
Got my mortgage statement today and from next month it goes down £35 a month:T Guess where that will be going! I am still on a fixed rate which finishes in August but they review my payments every February and this is the first time ever it has gone down.
DS1 still waiting on his results from hospital they said a week which was Tuesday but hopefully he will hear something tomorrow - its the waiting that is worse than anything.
Weather was really nice here today, dry and sunny so hope that keeps up for the weekend - might get out into the garden. I am threatening to try growing some veg this year to save money. Must get some tips from the greenfingers thread. Have any of you tried growing your own veggies? Any tips would be much appreciated.
Well hope everyone is keeping well and looking forward to the weekend. Catch you tomorrow xPayment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0 -
Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone very kind.
Especially liked the present from Hopeful.:D
I have had a really great day.
My OH has a great voice and sings a lot but usually silly made up songs. For years I have begged him to sing a romantic song for me but he never does. This morning he brought me my cappuccino (and croissants) in bed and I said I was not drinking it until I got my request he didn't need to ask what he knew. And finally he sang to me Unchained Melody we both ended up crying soppy pair
Great birthday presents not putting them on ebay whoever suggested that
I know where I am going now Thorseby Hall Hotel and Spa in Nottinghamshire off in the morning. Really looking forward to it have not been to that part of the country so will have to check it out for potential house moving territory.:rotfl: No wifi access:rolleyes: so don't know if I will get a chance to log on over the weekend but will take laptop anyway.
If my age hadn't been outted by Terri it certainly was by my kids older twins bought balloons with 50 on and younger twins have taken them everywhere we have been today, church, out for lunch. I don't care had a great time and little twins said it was the bext birthday party ever.
Paid £50 in celebration of the big day to ................... Scallyfax (thanks London Andy for the new name)
Also had a £5 birthday present from Barclaycard when I rang to close my account today for my telephone call bit late should have done that when I first rang them with complaint but nice all the same.
But had even better present from Mint rang them real cool like to close my account didn't ask for any deals said they would transfer me to the closure dept. got transferred to supervisor still acted cool they said I had been a model customer and would I like to transfer a balance at 0% for 12 months with NO fee. What a result I would have been happy with a nice life of balance rate. So £6000 transferred from Scallyfax which is a big help as it is my largest balance but will now be under £7000 and getting smaller with my PADs.
Think that's it will check in tomorrow before I go.
Have a great night.

Hi All
My latest update is that I have been managing to continue paying £20 ( plus pence equalling the day of the month) to Egg card every day. I have now nearly paid everything on it that is mine - OH has put some travel expenses on it which he has yet to pay me back. I understand that he can't quite do it yet as it is my birthday on Sunday so he obviously needs a little spare cash at the moment!
The payments that went out today were £10.19 to Egg (because before today my remaining balance was less that £20) and £10.19 to Tesco credit card. Tomorrow's payment will be £10.20 to Egg card again - used my Egg card today to pay for train fares to NEC.
I am cutting my daily payments back down to £10 per day again because I have done some grocery shopping and I don't know whether I can afford £20 a day for the rest of the month. I shall continue on £10 going into next month until I am sure I can afford to put it back up to £20 a day again.
Totals so far = £231.64 in February, £840.42 for challenge so far.PigginSkint's debt free diary
