  • Sorry not been on much, our finances are in a bit of a state for some reason, earning well but so much going out that I feel like we're just constantly playing catchup... really frustrating... :(

Anyway, I thought I'd better get back on the wagon, so transferred a whole .47p PAD today :j leaving £9 in the account... :(

Just worked out that with car costs, paying a friend back, computer for my mum at christmas that we are paying my sister for and a work cost we have had to find an extra £1000 this month, no wonder nothing spare, but as I did so well last month I want to get it back up again.

FAL - hope your hand is a bit better now, how awful - I'm the same with dogs, I love them, but am always wary of other peoples... that was a close call...

And Terri, I hope you feel better soon, what a lovely chemist you have, I'm not sure mine would have done the same!

    Hello all......

Im ashamed to say Ive not been here for while, and not made a PAD for a while either!

Partly its coz ive been SO busy with work (been away from home for meetings etc and partly is coz I spent all my money on clearing debts and havnt got any left for a PAD!

Anyway, I am now officially BACK! £10.00 PAD today to Capital One.

My news - still looking forward to Cuba, not long to go now! Also going to Europe for 12 days on motorbike later in year....and then we have been invited to a wedding in Slovakia (the weekend after I get back from bike trip) - so its gonna be a busy summer!

Passed another big milestone with debt today, below £21,000 - and its coming down at a rate of £800 a month.

Not much else to report, so, have a great day all you PADers. Will sit and catch up on all the posts when I have a spare few hours!!

    Wee

Hi everyone:hello:, got some money through from ciao today so my pad is £5.64.

I also won £5 on my chit chat bingo scratchcard plus £15 on the 1p bingo today!:D So will pay that to my barclaycard when it arrives in my account. I never win anything so am quite pleased!

Everyone is doing well and I'm still really enjoying this thread.:T

On the job front I'm thinking about volunteering for a charity that do befriending work with underprivileged kids, just 2-4 hours a week. Not sure what times to put down as being available though - only working 18 hours (mostly weekends) but also looking for full time work - and need to be available for that when it happens. The volunteer role needs a commitment of at least a year - maybe just put down evenings?
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.
