Sorry - I just don't see a way out. I was approached by my line manager a fortnight ago about applying for an internal position because with the current round of redundancies, he can't guarantee he can keep me safe. It now transpires that the job doesn't exist any more.

In my current job, redundancies are being based on performance. My project has gone from being on budget to being significantly over recently and it's all my fault.

    Hi ,

Sorry to hear that you are feeling really down at the moment ....

I agree with what my sisters Double Trouble and Greenbynature said .....
that your line manager sounds very keen to hang on to you ..... Otherwise he wouldn't " he " wouldn't have bothered approaching you a couple of weeks ago ....
Fingers crossed that everything works out ok for you fingers2520crossed.jpg ......
On a positive note you have been doing well with keeping your debts " under control " :T ....

  • Hi everyone

PAD £7.00 of the halifax card. Sold another book today so this can go towards a PAD later in the month. Also withdraw £10 from the scratchcards. So that can go towards a PAD next week when it reaches bank account.

It's nearly Friday:T . Roll on the weekend.

Hi clearing out my pockets. I didn't want to read and run. I second what my adopted aunties Greenbynature, DT and Terri have said (:D ). When you're down it is hard to see the positive. At least if the worst happens you have your debts under control and know better than most how to budget what you've got!

Have you sussed out what other jobs are around with other companies? It may help you to feel better if you have a back up plan. I'm a list writer. If i write things down it helps me be more focused.

Anyway, i am rambling (yet again i hear you shout. Hugs for you. Don't give up xxx
One step at a time ;)
  • No PaD for me today. Bad day. Bad week. Bad year. Bad life.

Hope everything works out for you. Big hugs.

  • Well I haven't updated my sig today either - debt has increased by £40 because I've bought Carling Cup final tickets...

Ah well. Tomorrow's another day. And it's also Friday the 13th, if you believe in that.

Hugs clearing_out_my_pockets, it's hard to see a way out when you're down, but there is one and you will find it, it just takes time, but honestly you will.

As for Friday the 13th, it's always been lucky for me - it's my hubby's birthday on the 13th and we got married on the 13th - mmmm, second thoughts... :rotfl:

No I don't believe in that, But I do believe we all need a treat sometimes so well done on the cup final tickets you deserve it.

Well at least that's something that's well worth increasing your debt over (IMO of course). We only come this way once and, in spite of our financial issues, there's no point in allowing ourselves to be pummelled into the ground at the swordpoint of our creditors.
Time alive is finite and we're all a long time gone (again IMO).
Once in a while, it's nice to stick two fingers up at them and do something really enjoyable. Hope you have a great day at the match.
It's very impoortant to repay our debts but the one thing that cannot be replaced is precious time.
Does anybody really think I would waste my time repaying if I had a terminal illness? Hell no. I would have an absolute ball.
We can't take wealth with us but something that seems to be forgotten is that we can't take debt with us either.

Not sure where all that came from but what the heck. A bit of poetic licence never hurt anyone ;)

EDITED TO SAY: I had to fork out £85 today for new specs. It wasn't expected. I've managed to break two pairs of glasses in the last month and I am down to my last pair (I need them to drive).
I am well over budget for that 4 grand challenge but I reckon I will still do it. Just need to tighten up a bit more.
