Hello all! Plenty of snow here still!!:D

Going to try and have my first NSD today of February. Also just made my Egg card payment for today,
    PAD £1.03 so I'm cheery.

Sending you a big hug Big Beff, it's sooo annoying when things break, especially expensive machinery you can't do without!

Hugs to you bigbeff - the payments you've made aren't wasted. Just think - you could have to sort the washing machine out AND still have more debt than you have. Big hugs to you xxxxxxx

hi mmy - it does get you down sometimes. but you are doing well! allow yourself a little wallow, then pat yourself on the back for doing your best. i had a good cupboard clear out/inventory last week, it's strangley satisfying...

bigbeff - what a pain! i had to fork out 70 quid last week to get my shower repaired which was upsetting. hope it's nothing too dear to fix. xx

Hi, all - PAD today £3.76 to Barclaycard, plus £2.00 to piggy bank, that means total PAD of £5.76 today. Hopefully NSD, brought in breakfast and lunch but had to put money on my Travelcard so not strictly nSD - but no Travelcard = no work!
Feeling a bit low today although shouldn't be - I seem to spend my life adding up and subtracting in my head!Really really trying to be frugal so that when payday comes around on 20th it doesn't all fall into the overdraft black hole...
Anyway, also feel very virtuous as I did a freezer and cupboard inventory when I was snowed in yesterday, so I now have a written record of what I actually have and thus what I need to / don't need to buy. I've been meaning to do this for ages, so I'm happy that I did it. Menu plan for the week is now on the fridge with only minimal shopping needed.
Sorry to be a bit down, I am getting there and I do value everyone's support, especially when you all have so much to deal with. Must stop grumbling!!
Hi mmy :hello: it's ok to feel down I know I often do - feels like one step forward and two steps back some days. Well done on getting your freezer/cupboard sorted! Do you want to come and do mine?? :D I know how you feel having to continually add up in your head - I go to bed on a night and my brain starts ticking over worrying about what needs paying, even when I go shopping I add it up in my head what's going in the trolley - think that's why I hate it now lol I used to just go round the supermarket throwing whatever I fancied into trolley - ahh those were the days :o :rotfl:
Anyway chin up and keep smiling :rotfl:
Bigbeff sorry to hear about your washer - what anightmare, it always seems to happen when you least want it!!!! hope you feel better soon and find someone cheap to fix that washer

    Afternoon everyone.

No snow here - just dull, damp and miserable. It's not too cold though so no ice either.

It was my first weigh in yesterday and I lost 1lb. I was a bit disappointed but I had drunk quite a lot of wine over the weekend as well as eating a lot of rubbish so it's my own fault I hadn't lost more. I don't quite know how to put this but this morning I went to the loo and I reckon if that event had happened before the weigh in I'd probably have lost another 2lb:rotfl:

    Anyhoo - pad is £5.00.

  • Hi everyone, I'm new on this site - Literally came on to have a look at debt consolidation and saw this thread. What an amazing idea! I'm the queen of making lists and promises I never stick to, this way I can actually pay the money and be done with it!

Well financially I am a complete mess, about £25k of debt and I was just forced to take a £7k paycut when I moved jobs in October, I then started making a tiny bit of progress by working 2 jobs and yesterday just found out one of them no longer have the capacity for the extra staff (that would be me)

So I'm very new to this whole idea (excuse my shortening terms as a result) but I'm going to start on my second smallest credit card debt (cant remember the password for internet access to my barclaycard) so my PAD is to my MBNA credit card balance at £1995.49 and I'm paying £5.49!

    I feel better already :T

    xx
